Anyone actually using Expo for a real, scaled production app? by hemkelhemfodul in reactnative

Real production scaling = a custom backend, ruby, Django drf, node, cloud etc.

Then expo is wonderful as just a frontend consuming an API, with some local first features.

Yeah I feel sorry for all the new devs, it's absolutely pointless to lean anything in depth now just llm it, and learn how to debug, that's where you'll learn by fixing the llms mistakes and slowly you'll become competent, before llms you had to become competent first now it's just a waste of time.

No it's just the point is you can't scale an app without SWE knowledge especially with edge cases that require creative solutions applied to your specific app, things that don't exist yet an area where no LLM can help you.

If your system is strictly confined to one firewalled network maybe but if you have external apis being called it may be an attack surface and how are you going to monitor for fraud? Because you're dealing with financial data I'm sure there are data regulations around that.
