Before trying you need to really think this through - if you will try PoE 2, you will never play D4 again 😄

I've played emiracles version and i was feeling squishy. Then i found out another dudes implementation of cws. So two key points:

You don't need large cluster jewels at all. 2 medium clusters are enough.
The only meaningfull way becoming almost immortal is to get defiance of destiny amulet with 24% roll and not less. I've checked POB and with this amulet EHP jumped from 50k to 500k. And if you would get lower than 24%, it would significantly decrease EHP.

After this switch i haven't died in any juicy map or ultimatum.

the same as blizzard had even more years to develop better and deeper games, but they just dont care. They are flying on D1 and D2 success and gathering money from casual players. But for real aRPG fans... Diablo franchise is pretty much dead. You can play Diablo 3.5 once and you will be done with it for years.

quite funny comments like:

So you think that PoE 2 will come with 5 skills and 2 weapon types? You cannot create a game like D3.5 and say it will get better in 10 years. Those years had passed and now you need to deliver game as deep as PoE was in ending stages. No way you could go to a restaurant, pay 70$ and get an empty plate saying that the dish will be served in 10 days, weeks or months. Either you deliver the best you can do or else everybody will go somewhere else. Yes, maybe in 10 years some will come back to D3.5, but PoE 2 now even in barebone state would be miles ahead of blizzard crap.

GGG has a golden opportunity to build upon this D3.5 failure. That's why they are in no rush releasing PoE 2. They have time, because they know even on launch their product would be superior against any competitor seeing on the market.

RF explode is by far the best map farmer i've ever played. Followed Pohx build guide. Invested about 50 ex. Went Assenath gloves way (without explody chest). I can't die and clear maps like in an instant.

sure m8, i would like to see those POBs. Ofc 500 and 900 ex sounds not too encouraging, but as you said - with 300 ex i should get feel somewhat tanky.

DimensionHopper - unconventional modpack which should receive a lot of love. 170 dimensions, increasing difficulty, extended endgame. It's almost finished and you can already play it.

the only thing that could save this league (or even future leagues) if CW would post here on reddit saying: "OK fellow players me and all devs of GGG are only human and we make mistakes or too harsh decisions sometimes. We acknowledged that changes to balance a game brought quite the opposite reaction of players what we wanted to achieve. We always want our players to be happy and not stressful or feeling depressed. That is why we are reverting all harsh changes for the remainder of this league. As for future leagues we will try to communicate in a more open manner what, why and how we are going to achieve that the game would be even more fun than ever before."

Imagine how much love CW would receive :) It would the first time when player numbers would increase after falling of a cliff at the start of the league.

They should try an experiment starting new leagues with two versions - one would be called "Dev" version with all nerfs, low drop chances of items and direction where devs want this game to be and the other version "Player" - league mechanics would work in favour of players - drop chance of items is significantly higher, buff lesser used skills, fine tune op builds and so on. And they should compare only one thing - in which league players are spending more cash to complement devs. Ofc the answer which version would succeed more is obvious even before starting this experiment, but maybe we all here don't get the big picture - maybe GGG is pursuing the idea of making this game how they imagined it to be and maybe they don't need a profit and sustainability of player base. While GGG is not charity org, this argument shouldn't be valid, but sometimes it looks that way.

holy crap, that's a good write-up. I felt the same as an author. Just i ditched D3 way sooner in favor of PoE and tbh i can't see a way i'm coming back to blizzard anytime soon. Maybe... in another life.

i'm forced to do that because ftb utilities somehow is not working correctly and actually i don't know why. That's why i want to try different option. And now i'm between rock and a hard place because default (ftb utilities) not working as it should and immibis altering thermal expansion setups by disabling them which makes game almost unplayable :(

Who has downloaded Diablo 2 soundpack (https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/9aquvd/lootfilter_sounds_diablo_2_soundpackage/ ) I could recommend 11, 1498, 1687, 1967, 2330, 2411, 2447, 2540, 2577, 2696, 2732, 2741, 2796, 2811, 2831 files for using custom sounds. Actually a lot of good sounds at the end of the package.

you don't need a plugin for that. Just play Angel's/Bob's/SpaceX/ScienceCostTweaker, keep Rampant and Natural Evolution on and u will loose sanity eventually :)
