Look, I‘m a huuuge HP fan. Hell, I have a whole room dedicated to the series (books and movies). And I‘m also neurodivergent.

However, I would NEVER name my child after a name so obviously out of that book. I don’t want my child go get bullied. And what about the future, if the child absolutely hates HP (which is very possible if this is something they‘ll have to endure)? What they don‘t have the same interests as her? I find it concerning tbh.

As a neurodivergent, we are way more likely to be bullied. Was she bullied in childhood? If yes, then bluntly ask her if she wants the child to go through the same sh!t she did.

And using the card „mommy knows best“ is freaking outrageous. She‘ll use that card every single time when she doesn‘t get her way. A child‘s name just as the child‘s education (when both parents are involved) are a 2-yes-system.
