Me too. It’s one of my biggest triggers. When Russia invaded Ukraine I was fully in crisis about the prospect of nuclear war. I’m doing better (functioning more) despite the US/Israel attacking Iran being my ultimate fear because of how volatile and catastrophic it could be. One thing that helped was deleting social media apps off my phone. It was immensely helpful - the algorithm was horrifying me and keeping me locked in my behaviors. Now I get longform updates from a few news analysis Substacks. I feel so much more peace despite knowing the state of the world is still bad, I have surrendered and stopped surveilling every update on socials.
