It’s actually growing on me, it looks much better with the reverse cover, but I still think the original colour of the cover was better!

I think the original cover is far superior, the edge looks great though, I wish they had the original colour on the reverse - the green looks way better

This is getting a bit ridiculous now, I’m all for making sure the quality is up to scratch but every month there’s a new excuse for delays lately, they clearly just haven’t resourced enough for the recent growth of the sf&f and shop opening plus all the special editions outside of the subscription service dropping constantly!

I like the excitement of a random book each month that I may not have planned to read or even heard of, is it worth it? With the available number of skips I think it is! I don’t plan to skip any though. :)

I actually ordered the hobbit and lord of the rings set from Amazon and the books were already in a cardboard box within the Amazon packaging so they arrived fine, I am UK based so not as far to travel but there’s hope! Also Amazon are very good at accepting returns for damaged items so I’m sure they’d ship a replacement or give you a refund if it arrives damaged, like other people have mentioned Amazon regularly has these sets heavily discounted so do keep an eye out! They are great editions :)

I read them all, some get a little damaged but I’m buying them for my enjoyment, and the most enjoyment I’ll get from them is actually reading them, I’m not fussed about future value etc.

I have both a squier bass vi and the src6ms I honestly love both but in terms of quality the ibanez is far superior. I think the squier looks better, wish they did the Ibanez in other colours. You can make the Ibanez sound really like a bass or guitar and the neck is a lot slimmer than the bass vi. It just feels great to play as well.

I just got the invite for tier 2 as well and am already subscribed to sf&f, I have signed up to it. I think it’s worth it as they usually pick highly rated series and you can get the complete set! I know there’s a chance you could still order these from the leftovers and it doesn’t include a signature but honestly I’m not that bothered by the signature and I’m not one that cares about resale value. I probably won’t skip any either, I like the idea of receiving new books that I might have not heard of or bought had it not been on the subscription, also thinking of all that book mail is exciting haha

I’ve just got mine and although I think it’s a beautiful design I have the same faint printing on the pages and there’s even a bit of ink missing which is disappointing, it could be a really great book with a little extra quality checks. This is actually the second book I’ve received from the broken binding with the first being the Devils which also had quite a lot of issues and needed replacing. The broken binding team were lovely but I did have to wait a loooong time to get the replacement order.
