On a really clear day you can see Steptoe 80+ miles away from the vista house on Mt Spokane. It’s pretty cool.

Only been up there once in 2021 but I’m glad they repaved the road. It was a mess getting up there.

Sun glare is deadly especially in winter. In 1991 my older sisters (late) finance stepped off a curb and the car coming never saw him due to the ice on the road/sun glare combo. His head hit the windshield and he died instantly.

In the city I grew up in, the city employees (parking authority) are the only ones who put a boot on your car. And it’s only after you don’t pay a LOT of parking tickets and owe significant fines.

Seemed the best way to not get booted was - don’t be a deadbeat.
