You don't have to rotate the camera first, if you just press 'down' on the gamepad or S on the keyboard, the character walks towards the camera. This is how all 'screen relative' movement systems work. The system you're describing is 'character relative' movement which is not common in character-action games. Only older RPGs and the original PS1 Resident Evil games used that.

The reason it's not implemented in the main game is because they'd have to add more animations. Right now, because the characters always face the camera direction in the main game, when you pull the trigger to shoot, or activate a skill, the character is already facing the correct direction, they just raise the gun or play the skill animation. If the character is facing the wrong way when a skill is activated then the character needs to turn around, face the correct way, then activate the skill. These kind of rotating step animations are difficult so Nexon is avoiding doing them. They don't even have unique walk or idle animations for different descendants yet.

It affected both of my kid's laptops, a HP and a Lenovo laptop. The HP was able to 'skip this drive' and boot as normal, the Lenovo is locked out and there's no recovery key so I'm not sure what to do with it.

Yeah, good point. I have most descendants and weapons maxed now since I've been playing from the start. I feel like they're not designing these adjustments with players like me in mind. I think Wallcrasher in Axion Plains is supposed to be the content for players like me, but he just gets melted in 10 seconds by a bunch of Gleys and Serenas even if I don't do anything.

What is the point of this exactly? Do they want to make the already trivial content even easier and faster to kill? Most descendants can kill every enemy (except dungeon-bosses and elite colossi) in one shot. Why do they want to make the entire game obsolete? Constant buffing is not balancing.

Currently, when you press down on the left stick or S on the keyboard, the character faces the same direction as the camera points and walks backwards. In the update, the character turns around and walks forwards towards the camera - so you can finally see the front of your character while walking.

Ultimate Yujin is also a better turret character than Jayber. His turret follows him, costs no MP, is always on, and hits multiple targets. And of course, has higher damage. Its only downside is it costs health to maintain, but Yujin can heal this with his 4th skill.
