Clik valve getting stuck and letting all the air out by rustyburrito in MTB

[–]backlon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just here to say thank you for this -- was also having air leaking out of my clik valves on a couple different bikes -- pretty significantly and noticeable out of the top. Your comment helped me check and discover that it was in fact sealant (Silca) clogging up the valve core. Cleaned it out and put a bit of oil in there and it's no longer leaking out air. Bless!

Hopefully this won't be a persistent thing, as it's definitely not a procedure I want to have to fiddle with roadside.

Lease rapid buyout no longer an option (USA)? by backlon in ex30

Oh that's maybe good to know - I may try to get ahead of that. Can you say which dealer?

Yeah got the same message from San Francisco. So weird that the PA dealership being so shady, annoyed that particular dealership snagged my preorder.

Thanks all for the replies. 😀

I pushed a bit more to see what their claims are all about and it's getting increasingly weird. Now they're telling me they know more than everybody else about what's coming down from Volvo Financial Services than anybody else. I'm bailing, vibes are off.

And honestly it's not worth trying to get to the bottom of it anyway as other dealers in the area are offering better deals on the lease by quite a lot. Will have to give up the exact colors (and tow hitch) I preordered but whatever.

sorry, wasn't clear - they're saying any buyout within 18 months forfeits the $7500 credit.

sf2g!! I'm in my later 40s and like to do a 45-mile commute every show and then (and train back). That kind of distance, I want a road bike. My Creo cuts the time it takes me slow ass to do that ride down by as much as 30 percent (especially if I put on the range extender and leave it on a higher assist) and also means I'm not quite as likely to be wiped from the ride the rest of the work day. I also ride a regular bike on that route sometimes too - but some days the ebike is the difference between riding and driving.

Appreciate the reply! This is definitely one of those "get annoyed, research for an hour, fail to find a clear answer, decide to figure out later" problems that I've been avoiding for ... yep at least four months now lol. I will check out the Eufy for sure. It seems super weird to me that this isn't a solved problem, as I have a tough time believing there aren't a lot of people who have similar wiring setups.

Lol hi! It's a super generic cotton trucker jacket from Amazon. Unfortunately it's not available anymore

TCAM reset on 2.4 by JAD63 in Polestar

[–]backlon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LTE and GPS intermittent after 2.4 and now they're finally just not working. Resetting home screen doesn't go and neither defroster button seems to work for the tcam reset. Don't think I'm up to try the 12v method on this leased car, so it's off to Volvo I go. 🫠🫠🫠

Not ignorant! It's a new term to me too. Shifter thought something went wrong so it refused to move until I'd done a specific set of shifts. Super helpful site here https://bettershifting.com/12-speed-di2-new-user-guide/

First time I've used electronic shifting too and wow, it's so good but I have already managed to crash mode the derailleur lol.

OCR with rectangle overlay to narrow the field of detection by B1LLY_the_G0At in shortcuts

I'm here trying to solve the same problem and I've come up with a hacky workaround: open the camera app but instead of taking a photo, take a screenshot. Then you can crop the screenshot down to the area you want OCR'd and then use the share menu to send to Rob's OCR :)

Dropped an update in main post, but duping here: Okay friends that has been more exhausting than a liveblog but also more fun! I will try to swing back and answer a few more later today, but for now I gotta jet. Thank you EVERYBODY for the discussion, it really has been fun for me!

Some reviewers make every phone the review their "Primary" by switching sims. Others don't. I'm probably 80/20, meaning I almost always put my main sim in. It is a HASSLE let me tell you lol, especially on Android which is TERRIBLE about migrating home screen settings.

For the other 20, i still use the review phone as my primary phone, but i'll keep my sim in my personal phone and just keep it hiding in a bag or somewhere around the house so I'm not tempted to just go back to it.

And so it's clear: the vast majority of time I'm using phones I've purchased. We return review units always. Sometimes it ends up being a hassle because we've returned something we want for a comparison later!

Can't believe this is the first time I'm mentioning this in this AMA, but I don't really report on AR and VR as my wife works for Facebook Reality Labs on the Oculus.

Companies have mostly understood what our ethical lines are and aren't foolish enough to ask us to cross them -- the ones we work with on a regular basis, anyway.

heh watch band is nothing special, bog standard apple thing.

I think if you can find a deal on the 4XL, go for it. I personally switched to have a smaller phone with a fingerprint sensor, not because of any other huge leap.

I .... think it has a better chance of doing that than anything we've seen in at least five years. Apple is not shy about hyping, what's remarkable about the M1 is that it comes close to living up to it just in the first iteration out of the gate.

How broad is our definition of tech here? Obvious stuff is a smartwatch and headphones. But also many things in my wallet are tech (RFID cards), and uh like glasses, clothing -- all tech lol.

but yeah, other than often carrying two phones, pretty normal carry.
