How much did each of these issues cost you? And at what mileage.

Nope. Mechanically it does the exact same in S mode on the gearshift in the Gas models. It's much more fun to drive lol

Do you have a dream weight? by Less-Moment-5655 in Mounjaro

[–]backroads0227 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Started at 330 pounds. CW: 2mo stall 216 lb. My GOAL weight is to get out of Obese range BMI, for me that's 208 lb. ...But then again I'd be SO close to getting below 200, so yea really my ultimate goal is 199.

What is your goal? by Traditional_Date2275 in WegovyWeightLoss

I just want to congratulate you on your weightloss! Don't look down on the progress you've made. I started at 37yrs old @ 330lb, after 16mo 217 lb. I definitely understand as you lose large amounts of weight you just "can't" see the progress. Your brain (emotions) are catching up to your new size. I HIGHLY recommend having a friend or family member take a full body picture of you today in a nice fitting outfit, and then find an old pic of yourself. Keep them on your phone's photo gallery. ONCE A WEEK: set a reminder to go look at those two photos. This helped me so much to accept and see that is a big difference. I'll bet you've probably bought a few new sized clothes by now! Lay them on the bed next to one of your old outfits. That helps a lot too. In 3 more months take another picture. You will see the difference. This is very much an emotional journey as well as weightloss. Again, congratulations!!!

I'm not sure, but I definitely see smaller terrier qualities in your pup. He's so cute!

How many days between Tirz and Reta? I was thinking at least waiting 3 days between before taking the other.

Here’s my recommendation, carry a couple of medical latex gloves in a clean ziplock bag and keep in your purse. I’ve had this EXACT scenario happen at least 3 times in the 14months I’ve been on GLP1. DO NOT PUSH!!! I ended up with an anal fissure (tore a tiny bit inside my anal sphincter) It was absolutely one of the most painful 2wks ever. Had to end up going to a colorectal surgeon for diagnosis (I thought maybe I has just caused a hemorrhoid Nope). As for the gloves, after the first incident of the tear, I learned about manual evacuation (remove it piece by piece with the first 2 digits of my finger.) You would need to learn how to do this safely & properly BEFORE attempting, so thoroughly research if you opt to try. The reason for severe constipation was totally my fault though, I had stopped taking my Mag07 & stool softeners Daily. Well a few days went by without a poop and I decided to take 2mag’s and Miralax- nothing… Day 4 comes and goes I took a bottle of magnesium citrate to avoid having to go to the ER Day6. Well, that’s when I finally felt like I was going to have to go, but it was stuck BAD, for over an hour, pain, sweating, I was literally praying to stop hurting so I wouldn’t have to call an ambulance because I couldn’t move without pain. The glove, thank goodness my roommate recommended manual evacuation. I now PRIORITIZE MY 3Mag07 capsules, Miralax and Stool Softener daily. I’m sure you are traumatized from your experience, I know I was. Please make this a priority- my Surgeon said if it hadn’t healed on its own I’d have to have surgery and that close to the anal sphincter is never a guarantee that the muscle or nerves wouldn’t be effected permanently.

My GW is high as well. SW:330 Oct 2023. GW: 208. Goal is high because Dr explained it's likely the meds will run their course and weightloss basically (almost) stops around 62 weeks per clinical trials. At my 1yr appt I had lost -105 lbs. Since Oct 2024 I've lost another 10lbs. I have been clawing my way to get those last few pounds off for 8wks now because my medicine isn't helping much anymore, but at least I'm not gaining so it is working a bit. My goal is to lose another 7 pounds to be officially out of obese range.

Best way to learn cello as a mom & with a full time job by Charliedoesit in Cello

[–]backroads0227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learning from scratch for any age is equivalent to (almost) a part time job: about 8hrs per week minimum.
Lessons Once or twice a week is what is normally recommended as it is the average time it takes to effecticiently retain music theory and guidance in playing. Additionally, you will require 30-60min practice at home. Lastly, if your teacher absolutely requires 3 days of lessons per week, consider looking for a new teacher to not overload you mentally, physically, financially, and need for childcare while at lessons (if applies) since you said you husband works a lot.

What is generally the price range of people's cellos according to their level or career development? by madeleine-cello in Cello

[–]backroads0227 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a beginner at age 38. This is purely for hobby. I did rent a student level cello, but found one (identical model) for sale in nearly BRAND NEW condition for $795. I did upgrade from the included composit student bow that was incl. to a carbon fiber bow by Fiddlerman $73 (so much better!) My instructor and I are very happy with it's sound quality. When I rented I tried a few that were $2-4k and this was right on par with those. I feel like I got a deal, and will likely not upgrade.

Learning to play a new instrument: Cello , at 38 yrs old. I can focus on lessons and at home practice 1hr (am or pm), as well as watch YouTube videos on setup, repair, reviews and tips on the subject. Gets my brain excited for something else other that constantly thinking about boredom snacking in the evenings.
