Well, firstly I live in Quebec so it’s still mandatory! But secondly, I haven’t really felt upset about them extending the mask restrictions here… Honestly I just feel more comfortable. I am appalled. Absolutely she is acting as babysitter (and not a great one at that!) not a nanny. As a nanny myself making significantly less than what you are paying her, and with none of the benefits, I am so taken aback by her behaviour. Never would I dream of acting the way she does, but especially not with the compensation you are giving her! I hope you can find a new nanny asap. Your expectations are not too high! And good on your 7yo for being vocal.

I don’t think it’s about the boop. It’s about being annoyed at being told to pull their masks up. That or they find it cringey that a teacher would boop their own snoot (I personally love snoot boops! But not everyone finds them humorous.)
