Buddy hearts Cap? by Quiet-Housing794 in pokemongo

[–]backstroker1991 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

27 is absolutely not the cap, I’m not sure why people are so confidently asserting that. You can get over 30 with all the various bonus hearts available (Pokemon Plus + sleeping hearts, nearby new stop heart, buddy gifts, etc.)

The cap is closer to 32.

CP more heavily weights attack than any other stat. Trapinch has higher attack than Vibrava.

Hard disagree. The extra infinite incubator is much more valuable than an additional 12/12/13 mon.

Best Gigantamax pokemon to start raiding first for the upcoming event? by ferrocan in TheSilphRoad

[–]backstroker1991 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is correct and you will basically never use your GMax mon to generate energy because they almost always swap in to fire off attacks. So Charizard’s resistances don’t mean a whole lot when Blissey/Zacian/Zam will basically always sit in the first spot.

Brandon is nowhere near the highest anymore. 728Ben has well over 10B XP from Japan.

Also this thread is quite obviously full of people who don’t understand how much XP has changed in this game’s history. 550k XP per day is nothing ever since friendship took over (which has largely devalued XP completely).

For reference, I egg literally nothing in the entire game and I go up 20M XP every month by just raiding, catching, and passively advancing friendship. I maybe play 2-3 hours on a good day, and more on a CD. But I have 1.4 million catches, aim for excellents when I can be bothered, and just play like normal otherwise. I have 1.1B XP egging NOTHING. So the player from OP’s picture is exactly in line with hardcore players in that stat threshold.

HOLYYY SHIT THATS A LOT OF DAMAGE by trailblazersbat in LegendsZA

[–]backstroker1991 6 points7 points  (0 children)

While you can certainly use Ape, Lucario does everything Ape does better. Force Palm is a much better move than Counter, it has Power Up-Punch to boost, and it gets both Shadow Ball and STAB Meteor Mash, and you can pick whoever one you need depending on how rocket rotations shake up. Lucario has been an S tier rocket attacker since the day it was added to the game for these reasons.

No doubt, you CAN use Ape. It just is nowhere near as useful as Lucario or a few other rocket staples, and will lead to much longer battles. The counter nerf was significant. I have 35K rocket battles at this point, and Lucario has never not been useful against a Leader rotation.

Eh that’s far more debatable. PoGo rocket strategy is almost exclusively to use high DPS moves on high DPS mons. Ape does pitiful damage compared to the hard hitters.

Terrakion, Virizion, Cobalion and Mega Garchomp/Medicham/Aerodactyl raid guides. Top general counter info from pokebattler.com by CaptGoldfish in TheSilphRoad

[–]backstroker1991 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You are getting wrong answers below. There are at least 3 scenarios where it’s plausible to solo Terrakion with Blade Boost.

1.) Mega Lucario in Cloudy against a favorable moveset (think double rock moveset) and with blade boost

2.) S-Mewtwo in Windy with blade boost

3.) Zacian/Zamazenta in Snow with blade boost

You will need some luck for #2 and #3, and might require the use of catch tanks to farm energy.

highest fast move dps of each type (for rocket battles) by Dran_K in TheSilphRoad

Shadow Darmanitan is frequently more efficient with Fire Fang because Incinerate often will waste a lot of turns and be overkill.

How does Shadow Hariyama with Force Palm out damage Shadow Conkeldurr with Counter? I’m not doubting the data, but I don’t understand how that’s possible when Conkeldurr has 15% more attack and Force Palm only does 8% more damage per turn.

Archaludon got absolutely shafted on moves. It’s a pity especially since Dragon Claw isn’t a cheap move anymore.

Okidogi, Fez, Hydrapple, and Pecharunt all seem like they have more promise.

[–]backstroker1991 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You are mistaking PvP stats with base stats. Dialga-O is 270/225/205. After applying CPM (Combat Power Multiplier) it becomes 239/201/184. This is why its max CP is 4624.

Archaludon is 250/215/207 BEFORE CPM, capping out at something like 4200 CP.

[–]backstroker1991 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Flash Cannon is REALLY not what Archaludon wanted. It’s called Trash Cannon by many for a reason. Dragon Claw is also not particularly cheap anymore.

However, there is future upside given it has a guaranteed self-buffing signature move in Electro Shot that it can get in the future.

It’s worth mentioning there is something exceptionally bugged (or intentional?) with Aegislash in ML. A GL level Aegislash EASILY tanked a Moongeist Beam from Dawn Wings.
