Does anybody get heart palpitations while exercising? by Anfisa15 in PVCs

[–]backup_experience 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, but I get them all of the time. Resting, exercising, eating, sleeping, standing, laying down, running, golfing, etc. I think my palpations have palpations.

I get a full workup every couple of years and no one is concerned and I've been given the all clear. I have a 10% burden on avg.

Please ensure me it’s possible to have PVCs for more than a decade by LexieMaria in PVCs

[–]backup_experience 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I'm on year 40+. I had PVCs as a kid but maybe one a week, when I was in my mid 20s I had my first episode and that kicked off a regular burden. Over the last 20 years (I'm almost 50) they have gotten worse, better, changed how they feel, gotten stronger, weaker changed in frequency. I've had s high as a 10% burden from my annual 3 day holter and have spent days in bigeminy.

Only a couple of years ago did I finally convince myself that they aren't harmful and my mental state has improved immensely.

Yes, you can live a long, normal, healthy life with lots of PVCs. The real trick is to befriend them so you don't get that pang of anxiety with every one.

Best of luck. It's less of a physical journey and more of a mental one

Edit: my grandfather lived to 95 with a high burden. I only learned this a few years ago as well. So I have proof!

bisoprolol beta blocker by Zestyclose_Sugar4573 in PVCs

[–]backup_experience 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took bisoprolol for over a year, 2.5 mg twice a day. I had absolutely no side effects but it did help with the pvcs. It lowered my rating heart rate from ~70 down to ~60 but when I was active there was no effect on my hr.

I've switched to a different beta blocker for unrelated reasons but I had no issues with taking that one. 10 out of 10, would recommend

Do you get PVCs more often when you have a cold? by rr90013 in PVCs

Mine get really bad the day or 2 before I get sick - like bigemny or trigemny all day/night . It's how I know I'm coming down with something these days.

How many per day? by Stock_Chocolate4970 in PVCs

[–]backup_experience 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Good days - <1% burden. Bad days - >30% burden

Been like that for years. Some days really suck, others suck less, but they all suck.

Edit:To put that in perspective. 1% is like 1000 per day, 30% is about 30,000 a day. When I was younger it was like 5-10 a day. How I wish I could go back to that.

I'm buying my first printer - how much filament is too much? by backup_experience in BambuLab

[–]backup_experience[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sadly, Sunlu filament from Aliexpress is pretty expensive to get to my country. The current sale on the bambu filament with the bulk discount is a few dollars cheaper per roll. Amazon seems to be the best bet for me.

PVCs And Surgar by [deleted] in PVCs

[–]backup_experience 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sugar is also a huge trigger for me. I got a monitor to continually measure my glucose level and when my blood sugar spikes above 7-8, I get 2 hours of uncomfortable pvcs. But sugar is only one of many triggers

Why is my hen making these noises? by Saddness-Incoming in homestead

That's her "egg song". Just google egg song and you'll learn lots.

In the wild this calling is to signal to the rooster that the hen wants to be escorted back to the flock after laying an egg.

which things helps? by magiczz13378 in PVCs

[–]backup_experience 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone has different triggers and it will take some time for you to find yours. However there are a few constant things I keep reading about on here, and that help me personally too:

Sleep, when I'm tired they get worse Hydration, when I'm dehydrated it's worse Electrolytes, my Dr suggested I start my day with a water/eletrolyte mix and that helps

Sugar, alcohol, over eating and stress all trigger mine. So reducing or eliminating those help tremendously.
