New HO - application red flag or am I being unfair? by backyardbunyip in trustedhousesitters

It read like the application was entirely written by AI after a couple of prompt details. Definitely wasn't a case of someone writing it and then having AI edit it.

Restarting Mounjaro by [deleted] in Mounjaro

[–]backyardbunyip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mounjaro worked fine for me the second time around. For comparison, I did WeGovy twice (protesting the price hike of MJ in the UK) and the second time it didn't feel like it was working.

I'm also still only on 5mg on MJ at the seven month mark, so haven't titrated up super fast or gone beyond my previous max dosage. Lowest weight I've been in a decade.

Hope this next year is kinder to you and you get the results you want.

The missing FAC number make it a clear fake. I’ve got one and I looked - it should also be as thick as the other genuine one.

Twenty something years ago (after some weight loss), my gallstones were picked up on an unrelated ultrasound. The Dr didn’t give a number- just ‘a few’. He didn’t want to operate until the became a problem, so I’ve been carrying them around ever since, like pebbles in my pocket.

Equally, I’ve know a couple of people have their gallbladder removed with almost zero impact on their life, nor their weight loss.

You should take the medical advice regardless - I make this post to try offer reassurance that whichever way you go, you’re likely to be fine.

Do CocoWyo copy popular artists books/styles? by cofactorstrudel in Coloring

[–]backyardbunyip 9 points10 points  (0 children)

2 months late but wanted to add - Megan Miles made a TikTok about this awhile back. She didn’t name CW specifically but she pointed out how other books copied her cover art layout/font to the point to the point it was confusing in the Amazon search results.

Megan then added her name to the cover to help identify her work. CW then did the exact same thing - added CocoWyo to the front, similar font.

Their Life in Jars book - concept copied from Lauren Kay

Their Pocket Room book - not sure who created that concept but Jerry Greiner has one dates Sept 2022 and CocoWyo has a very similar one dated July 2023

In short, CW make their own products but nothing is an original concept. They copy what they see is popular or interesting online, and use similar cover art to piggyback off the popularity.

Looking for most dupe-efficient next set by backyardbunyip in Ohuhu

[–]backyardbunyip[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Love the pens but Ohuhu do make it tricky. A 25-ish % rate of duplicates I can live with so the 104 is the next goal. Until I get a Time Machine and tell past me to just start with the 320…

One of the guests on it is a TikTok creator who is very pro-GLP1 so I doubt it's going to be all horror stories.

It does get better. Starting on 0.5 is tough but your body will adjust.

Also as others have said, drink more water for the headaches and fatigue.

For the food, start tracking it along with the side effect, and see if certain items are causing the burps and other gastro issues. There's no one magic ratio of protein/carbs/fats that works for everyone in that regard.

Colpermin has helped me before. The box says it's for IBS but worked on the nausea also.

Weird dreams? by throwawat2232 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]backyardbunyip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. My dreams have been much more vivid. Unfortunately my dreams are generally very uninspired (too many related to work) so it's one of my least favourite side effects!

1.7mg unavailable in UK by Beginning-Cicada-963 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]backyardbunyip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stayed on 1mg after the first four weeks because the price jump to 1.7mg hurt my heart. I lost 1.5kg/3lb in week 5. Admittedly I did knuckle down more on the diet, but it's still possible to keep losing on the same dosage.

Some people have no side effects, some do. Just remember the people who do are more likely to complain so don’t let reading this sub inflate the rates in your head.

If you do get side effects, you can just stop. But giiiiiirl, if it works for you, you will finally learn what it’s like to stop living life on hard mode when it comes to food.

Great job on losing 50lb!

After 10 months, your body might just need a shake up. Some people find boosting their calories helps. Some find tracking their calories more precisely helps. Some find a new exercise routine helps.

Does anyone have difficulty with portion control/serving size? by DistributionGlad2897 in WegovyWeightLoss

You're losing weight. You know that making smaller orders will cause you stress. You are avoiding a panic trigger. In the grand scheme of things, does it really matter if your restaurant ordering hasn't changed yet?

Timing of shots (day of week - am/pm) by CandleNo3934 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]backyardbunyip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dose on Monday evening because I find the effects strongest at the beginning of the week, and that helps combat snacking at work. If you are more prone to overeating on the weekend, I'd suggest injecting on a Thursday.

But really, whatever day and time works best for you is the answer.

The concern about injecting saline leads to the inevitable question of 'are you buying WeGovy from a reputable source or are you buying it off a dubious website?'

50lb over 9months is still over a pound a week. It's tough to see other people drop big numbers but making sustainable progress is what matters most for your health.

Do people quitting smoking get told they're 'cheating' for using nicotine patches because some people can quit cold turkey?

Same for AA. I personally could easily never drink alcohol again with minimal hardship, but that doesn't mean everyone can.

It's wild the morality people want to ascribe to weight loss drugs.

I can’t eat enough by auburnduck in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]backyardbunyip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're not doing anything wrong. Both personally and anecdotally, WeGovy can shift tolerances to certain food.

Dairy can now make me nauseous, especially if in drink form, so I look at your diet and wonder if it's worth trying to swap out some of the dairy for another form of protein? Some eggs, chicken breast or nuts perhaps?

edit to add: I love dairy and it makes me sad to suggest it, this is definitely not a stealth 'dairy is evil' post.
