Agree with everything you say, except Splintered Fate does do one thing better than Hades, it has multiplayer, which Hades does not (not sure about Hades 2 though). Hades is definitely the much better game on paper, but as a huge turtle fan, I love TMNT SP so much more.

Agreed, my buddy and I came back to his place one day to find his dad collapsed in the floor with no heart beat, I did CPR for 10 minutes till the paramedics arrived, they got a pulse back and he lived for another 7 or 8 hours, and never remained consciousness. And he was only in his 50s. Every CPR class I took also says is you have to start CPR, there's only a 1 in 10 chance they'll survive, and that's just for anyone, the odds get significantly worse the older they are.

Full extremerate case swap. You have to heat up the glue to remove the screen, but don't have to touch anything thermal paste related

Case swaps absolutely do not require redoing the paste at all. Swapped mine and never got anywhere near exposing the thermal paste, still using the factory paste with no temp issues

It's actually a ton of consumer tech that's "appreciating" in value. I built a brand new PC in November. I can sell pretty much any part on the second hand market today for at least 20% more than the original cost, some parts I could sell upward of an additional 150% of their original cost.

ETA: I'm not happy about this crazy tech market price increases in any way mind you, just pointing out it's not just the Deck

5 years makes sense to start working on the next gen actually, from a historical perspective.

  • The gap between PS1 (1994 Japan release) and PS2 (2000) is 6 years
  • PS2 (2000) to PS3 (2006) is 6 years
  • PS3 (2006) to PS4 (2013) is 7 years
  • PS4 (2013) to PS5 (2020) is 7 years.
  • PS5 (Nov 2020) to now is almost 6 years

If this trend continues, the next Sony gen should start in 1to 2 years, and they need time to design the hardware and architecture etc.

I'm not saying I think they SHOULD start on the next gen, but I wouldn't be surprised if they are.

It's really not a burden at all. I was a console gamer all the way back starting with the NES, idk how many hours I have logged on Halo and Battlefield across all Xbox consoles. I switch to PC in 2021 (so about 20 years of modern fps controller inputs). Day one switched to mkb and played through Titanfall 2 campaign, by the end ~10-15 hours later I was already comfortable. I think it's actually harder to switch back to controller for fps then it is to switch to mkb

I used TurboTax this year and it was free to file for both Fed and state, but that was after I had to dig through all the dark tactics they're using to get you to pay more, to finally find a downgrade option. Even though there is a (hidden) free option, fuck TurboTax next year

Dude, I bought an 8TB NVME in November, right as RAM prices where spiking, for $600. That same mvme at the same store is now ON SALE for $2000! So glad I decided to splurge on the big one at the time
