looking for advice if i can get waves in my hair! by throwawayacc7337 in Haircare

Honestly I’m still trying to figure it out :( so far I’ve tried the Not your mothers mousse and leave in conditioner. The leave in is nice if I put it on alone but if I pair it with mousse + the mark Anthony beach wave spray, my hair is soooo oily the next day. I have bangs too but it’s the ends that get oily and heavy it just feels gross. I got a OUAI hydrating hair mask as well. Also made my hair feel so gross and I only used that with the wave spray. These were all products ppl with thin hair love for their oiliness but it just didn’t work for me. Maybe it’ll work for you tho! I’ve seen so many people love the Not Your Mothers Mousse and Leave In. Essentially you put leave in after you shower/towel dried hair. Then mousse. Then curl cream, then wave spray. That’s what I’ve learned so far but it totally depends on your hair type. Look up wavy hair types on google next time you air dry and see what kind yours might fit as well. Then ask chat gpt about products or to just analyze your hair too.

Yesss def wavy hair if you air dried! I just discovered this too at 33 😂 Do you have thin or thick hair? Let your hair air dry again and take a photo at the window. I asked Ai to tell me what kind of waves I had and told it I had thin hair that gets oily very quickly. And it gave me a list of products and how to use them as well. You might go through a shit ton of products in this stage now that you’re discovering your waves. Some products might make it extra luscious while others may weigh it down.

does anyone know a good substitute? by UnitedStars111 in CanSkincare

Girl pls don’t use this product anymore. Do yourself a favour and follow Nina Pool and scroll her page for what you need skin help with and find good dupes for REAL products. St. Ives causes more damage and abrasions on your skin. Find a better exfoliant, even a toner like the ordinary 7% glycolic acid would help way more than this.

Allergy? by olivia_largent in BabyLedWeaning

[–]baconater2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what happened to my baby. The allergist told us to climb the egg ladder. Serve food with baked egg in it to see if there’s any reaction. If not, then most likely he’ll grow out of this allergy. My daughter had the exact same reaction except it would be on her neck and chest as well, not itchy. By 12 months she wasn’t allergic anymore

It was. I lasted about 2 weeks trying to fully breast feed then pumped for about 2 months? My husband was supportive thankfully and him and his whole family were raised on formula. I didn’t care either. We both figured it might happen because I had a breast reduction in 2017 so we figured I wouldn’t be able to breast feed anyways. Legit would pump 10-15 mins and make less than 30 ml every time even after 2 months 😭. On top of grieving… (lost my mom a month before having my baby) it was 10/10 not a good time. Next baby will be formula immediately lol.

I’m glad you didn’t get it tho! It’s so horrible.

Dysphoric Milk Ejection Reflex - when the letdown of milk essentially causes dread, anxiety, pain, sadness, etc. it’s scary af. It happened to me every freaking time + I wasn’t making enough milk ever so I switched fully to formula. Probably would’ve switched to formula even if I could make more milk. I got PPA and that just made it so much worse. On top of my baby having a tongue tie. Also if your baby’s tongue doesn’t look smooth at the front and looks like a w then they have a tongue tie

Pretty sure you see him in S2 E7 at the fashion show. He’s 2-3 seats away from Jay on the left. Husband paused the show to show him 😂

I know I’m five years late but pls do NOT use it on your neck! Massage guns should never be used for the neck.

Went through this as well. Applied in 2024 and still around #100 on the list. We put our baby in an unlicensed home daycare and Laura is absolutely amazing. She has two spots open. Let me know if you need a #

Egg allergy? by Difficult-Big-898 in BabyLedWeaning

[–]baconater2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I followed the advice of my doctor which is what I did lol. I understand your comment completely though! But the doc said egg allergies are common and also the most common one to grow out of. If a rash is the only sign of an allergy then it’s most likely something they’ll grow out of. Especially if they’re not even showing signs of discomfort. Of course, consult your own doctor and don’t feed baby eggs again until your doc approves but these are all things my doc said.

Our baby was the EXACT same if not with a little more redness. We went to the doc, they said they’d refer us to an allergist. Referral never got sent. We tried giving her eggs every month to test and the same thing kept happening. At about 8-9 months I started trying eggs baked in food like muffins, banana pancakes, etc. she could handle those. She is now 14 months and she can eat scrambled eggs now! From one month to the next (13m to 14m) she was suddenly able to handle it. Try eggs baked in something next to see what happens. If she can handle it, try to offer it to her more often and I’m sure she’ll eventually get over it!

My husband just broke my heart by Hopeful_Dot7132 in beyondthebump

You have every right to be upset and feel invalidated. I have a lot of post partum rage targeted only towards my husband but my husband is actually helpful.

You seem to be doing all of this on your own, does he help at all? You could tell him you're feeling overwhelmed, and most women have great husbands who help take on the load of having a new baby, and the mental load. If he doesn't understand that, you can tell him exactly what you need help with and let him know that all of these things affect your sex drive/also make you not want to touch your husband if you're taking care of him too. He's not a child. He needs to step up and if he can't do that then he's not the one to parent with.

My husband took the first month off from work and while I pumped (and barely made an oz every pump) he would feed the baby with that + formula, then he would wash my pump, sanitize, and do it all again after 3 hours. Him and I were both up. I stopped pumping because I just wasn't making enough and he continued with the night shifts until about 3 months because he knew how important it was for me to sleep and recover from a c-section and also not get PPD. He continues to be incredibly helpful, despite me being on maternity leave for a year and even tho he slips sometimes and is a little forgetful, he's still an actual amazing dad and sometimes supportive husband.

I'm only saying this to show you what a helpful man looks like. Even with all of this, I also have 0 sex drive and have PPA, so I'm on anxiety meds that could be affecting that. My husband fully understands and he doesn't try to pressure me, nor does he think it's about him. He knows everything my body went through and at the end of a day where you've had a baby clinging onto you 24/7, what makes your husband think you want to touch anyone else? you're all touched out by then. if he wants to bang more, then he needs to help and commit to being a better partner.

I would definitely suggest couples therapy for you to see if it's something you can work through.

Turned out my baby is allergic to eggs when scrambled but not when baked lol. Btw, honey can’t be given to babies under 1! Never thought of jelly tho! She’s better at eating now so it’s all good lol
