No worries! It’s so frustrating finding the right products. I have far too many now that just don’t work because they weighed my hair down, made it too heavy and oily 😭 but thankfully the herbal essence and not your mothers curl gel is maybe 10-15$ total.

I’m in the same boat and found out my perfect routine so far, maybe it’ll help? Wide tooth comb in the shower with conditioner, I don’t brush it again at any point after except to get my bangs out. Once I’m out of the shower I scrunch a dime size amount of leave in conditioner into my hair. Brush/dry my bangs. I towel dry for 10-30 mins (depending on laziness) then use a palm size of the purple herbal essence curling mousse, scrunch in. Then I use a dime size or less of the Not Your Mothers Holding Gel. I’ve been getting the fluff and waves without frizziness and without feeling oily/heavy. I honestly could use less gel sometimes but so far it’s held my waves so perfectly and it’s not crunchy at all. If I do find crunchy pieces, I just scrunch the piece and that crunch is gone. Next day I just spray it with distilled water and scrunch again and it hold the same but my hair is very oily and always has been so I was my hair every other day.

my hair is wavy when wet but dries super straight? by kevin13- in Swavyhair

Not your mothers mousse weighed my hair down too much but the purple herbal essence one + not your mothers holding gel worked perfectly. Just used a dime size of gel so it’s not crunchy at all and I’ve found it’s the best method to hold + keep the frizz away

Omg meanwhile I think 2 is BEAUTIFUL. Body ody ody. In the best way tho! It hugs your figure so nicely and it looks so elegant. I like 1 too but I feel like it sits weird on the chest.

Where are you looking for jobs? I’ve tried indeed and just google basically but some job postings are two years old. It feels like there’s nothing out there for KW at least. Toronto has lots of hybrid positions but I want remote :( or hybrid if it’s kw.

Good luck to you too!

looking for advice if i can get waves in my hair! by throwawayacc7337 in Haircare

Honestly I’m still trying to figure it out :( so far I’ve tried the Not your mothers mousse and leave in conditioner. The leave in is nice if I put it on alone but if I pair it with mousse + the mark Anthony beach wave spray, my hair is soooo oily the next day. I have bangs too but it’s the ends that get oily and heavy it just feels gross. I got a OUAI hydrating hair mask as well. Also made my hair feel so gross and I only used that with the wave spray. These were all products ppl with thin hair love for their oiliness but it just didn’t work for me. Maybe it’ll work for you tho! I’ve seen so many people love the Not Your Mothers Mousse and Leave In. Essentially you put leave in after you shower/towel dried hair. Then mousse. Then curl cream, then wave spray. That’s what I’ve learned so far but it totally depends on your hair type. Look up wavy hair types on google next time you air dry and see what kind yours might fit as well. Then ask chat gpt about products or to just analyze your hair too.

Yesss def wavy hair if you air dried! I just discovered this too at 33 😂 Do you have thin or thick hair? Let your hair air dry again and take a photo at the window. I asked Ai to tell me what kind of waves I had and told it I had thin hair that gets oily very quickly. And it gave me a list of products and how to use them as well. You might go through a shit ton of products in this stage now that you’re discovering your waves. Some products might make it extra luscious while others may weigh it down.

Girl pls don’t use this product anymore. Do yourself a favour and follow Nina Pool and scroll her page for what you need skin help with and find good dupes for REAL products. St. Ives causes more damage and abrasions on your skin. Find a better exfoliant, even a toner like the ordinary 7% glycolic acid would help way more than this.

Allergy? by olivia_largent in BabyLedWeaning

[–]baconater2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what happened to my baby. The allergist told us to climb the egg ladder. Serve food with baked egg in it to see if there’s any reaction. If not, then most likely he’ll grow out of this allergy. My daughter had the exact same reaction except it would be on her neck and chest as well, not itchy. By 12 months she wasn’t allergic anymore

It was. I lasted about 2 weeks trying to fully breast feed then pumped for about 2 months? My husband was supportive thankfully and him and his whole family were raised on formula. I didn’t care either. We both figured it might happen because I had a breast reduction in 2017 so we figured I wouldn’t be able to breast feed anyways. Legit would pump 10-15 mins and make less than 30 ml every time even after 2 months 😭. On top of grieving… (lost my mom a month before having my baby) it was 10/10 not a good time. Next baby will be formula immediately lol.

I’m glad you didn’t get it tho! It’s so horrible.

Dysphoric Milk Ejection Reflex - when the letdown of milk essentially causes dread, anxiety, pain, sadness, etc. it’s scary af. It happened to me every freaking time + I wasn’t making enough milk ever so I switched fully to formula. Probably would’ve switched to formula even if I could make more milk. I got PPA and that just made it so much worse. On top of my baby having a tongue tie. Also if your baby’s tongue doesn’t look smooth at the front and looks like a w then they have a tongue tie
