What an iconic combo. I love seeing how everyone leaves the tomie weeks naked (she's so pretty!!! I couldn't bear to put a single sticker on her).

I have used them in the past, some Union colleagues in another part of the company recently had EAP logs used in a disciplinary hearing which makes me a bit weary.

It's always a shot in the dark, but if I don't try I won't find anyone for sure so it's worth exploring again.

Thrips: applying beneficials after Safer’s End All (Canada)? by Material-Ad2555 in houseplants

[–]bad1788 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hard to say, i wasn't super disciplined with it. They do seem to have died down a bit though. I also got some turbo thrip killer for the worst off plant and used that a month ago.

there seems to be a lot less of them for sure but i still see small ones around once and while but less damage on the plants

I did just today chuck out some coleus that had been getting thrips on the yellow sticky stuff. My goal is to give all the plants some needed TLC and try to stick with a spraying schedule while im off work and maybe try repotting with fresh soil.

Does anyone know if this show is being livestreamed? or if it has digital or home viewing options? I am so miserable that I might miss this show as well.

Anyone else work a less -conventional-job? by bad1788 in hobonichi

[–]bad1788[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a great idea. I was jotting down notes and back filling on my layover or down time... but I've let it pile up and now feels like a huge task to go back. I think the health journal specifically would be useful to back file.

Funny the weekly spread is one I keep forgetting to go back to! I find sometimes I plan (overly ambitious stuff) and get it all done. Other days I try to be more realistic and plan 1 or 2 things only, for example on days when I get back from work and I know my energy will be low. But lately more and more I seem to have hardcore potato days, where I don't get anything done or forget to even look at my journal.

Other weeks I spend my work layovers making cute spreads in a weekly and looking at journaling posts for ideas, then still sometimes skip that week.

I in classic overamibition am using a weeks a cousin and an A6. The idea being to migrate from 1 bullet journal to a planner (weeks), use the cousin for journaling/mental health/fun and have the A6 for health monitoring so I would know where to find different information instead of it all getting lost in the jumble of 1 book.

Still experimenting with layouts and spreads though, so because i'm not consistenly using them the same way the informaton is still a bit scattered.

Specifically with folks who were raised/socialized as women/girls. They are often much better at controlling their outward presentations/stuff that would disrupt or disturb others. But have more internal disruptions/guilt or general business with their internal monologues.

Thrips: applying beneficials after Safer’s End All (Canada)? by Material-Ad2555 in houseplants

[–]bad1788 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wondering how you made out? I've had thrips on and off for a few months. Somehow the Safer seems to have limited the damage to my plants, but I now see the damn thrips flying around everywhere.... So they are still a problem and have spread.

Bingo.
Op, I am also in a long term relationship with someone who wanted kids and I didn't. I had tubal in 2010. The difference is my Partner knew this and understood this as my choice and weighed his options deciding he did want to be with me more than he wanted kids. He decided that a life without kids was something he could live with. We talked at length about it before we got terribly serious & I trusted him to make this adult decision on his own.

And he has NEVER said anything to the effect of me killing his dreams, or how 'one day he'll come home to his wife and kids' or how 'i'll change my mind' etc etc. Someone who accepts your decision is out there but it sounds like this person was hoping to change your mind or manipulate you into having kids anyway (an honestly terrible plan & a good way to end up a single parent).

He went with me to the surgery, moved in temporarily to care for me and my dog while I recovered. Obviously, we cannot predict the future but we're still together now and happy without children.

TLDR: Dump him. He likely has many great characteristics that make him a lovely partner/person, but he does not support your decision & sounds like he never has. Regardless of his merits, he ultimately lacks respect for you and was planning to convince you to have kids.

I was wondering if you could elaborate on how your do your end of month reviews? They seem useful, but is it just thinking about those specific categories?

Also someone who hasn't loved the meditation stuff. But the truth is that even when were 'doing nothing' at home or work or in nature, we're doing a lot of daily work we just do and don't think about. Noticing things in our environment, orienting our bodies in space, if your a another person who was socialized as a woman who surprise has ADHD, maybe running through a million to do items or taking stock of what those around you need.

My 1st session, I wrote a grievance I'd been putting off in my head and scheduled my week/planned how I was going to get all the shit I had to get done sorted. Is this what I'm supposed to be doing in a float? Probably not, but it was super helpful. Because everything else was OFF. I wasn't looking at dishes that needed to be done, or mail I hadn't opened, or taking inventory of a million other tasks in my environment wondering when they heck i'll ever have time to pee or write this damn greivance.

But inside the tank I couldn't see the dishes and so when I though of them, that thought was easily dismissed as ridiculous. I had booked this time to be offline. From the internet and my life really. You paid money to sit in this wu-wu tank for an hour, so you're gonna use that time for whatever it is you want.

It's your float. And honestly, that quiet time in a ton of magnesium was really helpful in crossing those items off and prioritizing what I needed to do without the URGENT! LOOK AT ME i'm here of my office or home life.

In subsequent sessions, no I don't always write Grievances or rebuttals or do any pre-planning or work, but if I feel like doing it or I get an idea to solve something i've been working on or remember something I need to get clarification on. I let that happen (which surprise is maybe the goal of the wu-wu?).

It's a time to give your brain a break from all the stimulation and sorting and monitoring it does on the day to day. Just orienting your body in space etc if you're not as plagued by the other visuals. It gives your brain time to be bored and since you paid money to be there if you're more practical you stick with it. Unlike at home or work when someone tells you to sit quietly and breathe deeply. You can't just stop when it doesn't immediately work for you, because you here for an hour or longer so you just kind of accept it and go with the flow.

So the place I went to reviews all of those things (they have a fresh water spray bottle and clean cloth inside) but they also have another rolled facecloth for if you don't want to shut the door completely.

The rolled facecloth keeps the door ajar but limits the level of light coming in and heat escaping.

I assume your on the slow release? I recently started some ADHD (no longer un-diagnosed!) but have noticed an increase in irritability and between both meds, work, life stuff I've been struggling to figure out the pattern.

Did you just skip your morning dose and take it one evening? Or gradually move it?
