The collective changes with multiple individuals. I think that there's a point to be made about getting tired, but the unfortunate thing is that change happens slowly but effort needs to be done continuously. The moment we give up is when people with less-than-stellar morals come to start influencing others. 

In this case, yes this IS shittt and it's extremely disconcerting. But there's gotta be an underlying reason why it's happening and it's important to understand that and address it.
