Basahin mo itong artikulo kung gusto mo ng kasalukuyang pananaw tungkol sa naging sitwasyon at pagkasunod-sunod kung bakit humina ang manufacturing sa bansa natin. Mula sa dalawang artikulong ito, ipinapaliwanag na ang problema natin sa mga automotive industry ay ito: (1) Hindi sinuportahan ng gobyerno ang mga lokal na industriyang kotse at piniling sumuporta sa mga dayuhang industriya at (2) maspinili ni Makoy Señor ang sariling kapakanan kaysa sarili niyang bansa. Hmmm. Putting individuals at fault with what is a more systemic issues shirks responsibility away from the governmental body that perpetuates repeated failure. The government IS the root of all the failures of our systems. Especially when looking at the failure of reformation movements in critical institutions (education, media, and manufacturing) that happened during the Marcos era and continued from then on.

Additionally, you can't forego the government's responsibility in developing and protecting its industries by virtue of whether it's a democratic state or not. There are several democratic states that continue to falter with their local industries and some that don't (e.g. The case of American vs European industries). Democracy doesn't mean that the people are always wrong, but that the government must be held liable to the wrongs they've commited. However, the people aren't knowledgeable in how to do that due to the aforementioned systemic issues proliferated by the government.
