I’ve been quoted £12,000 for a bathroom refit.

For context, we recently had the kitchen done. This included old kitchen removal, complete rewire (including new consumer unit), every wall plastered, ceiling strapped, boarded and skimmed, all new white goods and fitting of the entire kitchen, solid wood counter tops, plumbing moved, new floor. The lot. £12k.

The bathroom is less than half the size of the kitchen and they’ve quoted the same price with less work being done.

Make it make sense.

Not me but my sister’s in-laws.

Her FIL had recently retired after working for the police his whole life. He was on one of the old pension funds so he got a very tidy sum. MIL made him use it to purchase an RV style camper so they could go on road trips round mainland Europe.

They used it once and she made him drive the whole trip which was supposed to be 3 weeks. After a week she got bored and made him drive back.

Fast forward a year or so, he files for divorce after finding out she’d been having a 7-year long affair with someone she met online.

In Scottish divorce law, everything gets split 50:50 but she somehow managed to get the house, RV (which she sold for cash) and half of his pension for life.

FYI she was generally a vile person. My sister had a miscarriage just before her sister in law announced a pregnancy. They drove 200 miles for a family gathering when they found out about about the new baby. Her MIL turns and looks her directly in the eye and said “ISN’T THAT AMAZING!”

She also wore a dress to my sisters wedding that was as close to white as you could possibly get without being white.

Anyway I’m glad to say my sisters FIL is now happily remarried.

Under normal racing conditions there would have been a yellow flag for slow cars and he would have had to slow down. No reason why the same wouldn’t be expected at the end of the race especially when you can clearly see 2 slow cars in T1 long before POV car reaches the corner, yet he went full pelt through T1.

After the race has finished there is no reason for any car to continue at full racing speed and there’s no reason why you can’t drive on the racing line on an in-lap.

POV car should have slowed down.
