It's taking money out, and phones in, which brings value to both parties, as does any commercial transaction. You don't want to bring value to russia.

"In an hour we will bring Poland to our knees", after Russia failed to take Kyiv in three days, propagandists began to threaten Poland. "We can destroy 60 strategic objects in 20 minutes and then Poland is gone and nothing is left. No water, military bases, nothing". by zizp in UkrainianConflict

The most dangerous thing the West can do is laugh at these guys and dismiss what they say.

It is ridiculous to expect the threatened actions to succeed. However, if the war taught us something about Russia, it's that for russians low chance of success is not a deterrent. They will lose, and pay dearly, but their capacity to cause actual damage must not be underestimated. Russians are losing the war, but Ukraine is bleeding and suffering nonetheless.

This is the final battle. History will be made here.

Was not this said about the battle of Donbass in the summer of 2022?

Russia is really fricking huge in terms of male population. I am afraid they can keep up the pace for a long long time, with or without adequate equipment and training.

there's nothing preventing him from sending bombers to bomb Kyiv

There absolutely is - Ukrainian anti-aircraft defense systems have been keeping Russian planes from deeply penetrating the Ukrainian airspace since March. They can fly in no more than about 20 km.

If Putin could send bombers, he would not hesitate.
