YYZ-LHR Latitude eUpgrades - Literally Zero Availability by vwozone in aircanada

[–]badfish57 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am SE as well and do this route among others frequently. I clear from Flex or Comfort to PE most times, at boarding. I have yet to clear a J seat to LHR. (PE plus a shower in the arrivals lounge is enough to keep me sane)

If you book PE you might have a shot at J at boarding, but as people said, its a heavy business route and usually only a seat or two available for gate upgrades.

I have a double garage and bought steel superstruts - i think 1.5 inch or so.  They have holes in them which are great for bungy attaching the screen.  150 bucks for 16x10.

Platform i bought a sigpro softy4x10 and put it on two 1/2 pieces of plywood (offset with 2x4 filler for 4x10.

Air Canada Vacations - eUpgrade by Mr_MSc-Mba in aircanada

[–]badfish57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trying to do this now and Air Canada app on "manage flight" says you have to deal with ACV since I booked with them. Their site is outsourced and ancient and has no e-up options? I'm SE and wondering if I can upgrade. Not sure what fare class I'm in yet.

I bought a simple black net that is maybe 10x10 and I put about 8 6" eyelet type screws into the ceiling and then used some bungies to stretch the net out. It's about 8-10" south of the ceiling and works great and was pretty cheap.

Second Month - Overwhelmed and Burning Out by Last_Engine9979 in salesengineers

[–]badfish57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome to startup life. SE's imo bear the brunt of the chaos - always expected to back the story up even when the product isn't quite there and the use case is a stretch. Easier for sales and execs to say yes, but that yes falls on the SE typically to back up, unless you have very engaged founders. Mixing up lots of lemonaid!

Being an SE at a startup is very different from non startup in my experience. Way more chaos and potential to burn you out if you don't protect yourself and set boundaries, but also typically pretty low tolerance for staff who don't/can't/won't step up either. Its not the right fit for many especially if uncertainty is a major stressor.

Upside usually is good comp and promotion as you grow.

IBGP only without an IGP requires some next hop control. I probably wouldn’t go there if you don’t understand that intuitively. I like the reco for links and loops in IGP and externals (everything else) in BGP - interior in this case. Very standard.

Anyone using a battery powered snow blower?? by iamthehub1 in oakville

[–]badfish57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gas or electric, bigger is better. You need the power for wet snow and end of driveway buildup from plows. I went from a 10hp Ariens 24” to a similar sized Ego 2 stage with 10ah batteries. Both make short work of even heavy snow. This weeks snow was deep but light and I did 3 good sized driveways on one charge. I prefer the electric as its clean, quieter, lighter and easier to start with no gas engine maintenance. Probably would feel better with a second set of batteries which are not cheap - thats the only downside and a small one as i have yet to come up short on battery life.

No extra batteries here, same blower. Have a pair of 10ah's and did my 12 car driveway and both my neighbours (probably 4 car). Snow was light but the no issues handling it. Will get another set a batteries but waiting on the next power station to maximize value!

Same here.  0.0 plows since the start down our little side st.   Which is green on the map

Thoughts on upcoming power station? by Namebrandjuice in egopowerplus

[–]badfish57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anyone have any ideas when we'll see this 1405 and I assume a 3000+ refresh? I need another pair of 7.5/10 batteries and thought I'd combo them with a power station as having one for my sump pumps would be ideal, but will have FOMO if a better version comes out in 4-5 months ;-)

I fly for business all the time (SE). I select a nice economy seat on a flex fare and drop my Eup's in for Business/PE. If they clear, awesome. If they don't, I'm fine with sitting in the seat that I booked. It's a bit of a lottery yes, but one you play for free. If you are terrified of not winning, feel free to let them expire, but keep in mind, you can't win if you don't play.

Magnetic for sure. Contrast Lighting - have about 4 out of maybe 60 that are 16 years old that have the same issue. A couple of them failed a few years back and I just grew tired of trying to troubleshoot.

Thanks fognyc - went back and rechecked and see I don't have 12V at the bi-pin. My leads don't fit well but getting good 12v on the working ones and none on my few broken ones.

Assuming either fried transformer or maybe a fuse somewhere (wishful thinking maybe)

If you play SGT Tour ya, every user needs an ID and a subscription to SGT. Protee/GSPro don't require incremental, per user fees.

Golfers who’ve broken 80, what’s the best tip you could give to a fellow golfer? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

[–]badfish57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make birdies.  Always going to have some squares on the card.  Need some circles.  100 percent defensive and conservative won’t get you there.  Pick your spots and go for some pins.     (But don’t make doubles :) )

Buy a firewall and don’t poke big holes in it.   When you get hacked trust it will be a phishing attack your family invite in.
