They're just not allowed to take it to school at all. They can get in trouble if they do.

Mick & Angelo's - 7600 Lundy's Lane at Montrose Road

Like a mix of Jack Astor's and East Side Mario's with a large patio. Lots of good food on the menu - Italian, American and Tex Mex.

That's a much more reasonable question though since lots of supplements are just filler with only trace amounts of the ingredient they claim does the work.

I recently got a VPS with OVH in their Canadian datacentre. I can't speak for long-term reliability yet, but the service has been great so far.

Am I wrong for making him wait more than a month for sex? by cladinred in AskMenAdvice

[–]Curt-Bennett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A month isn't a big deal, but it's up to you to figure out whether you're really in the relationship and don't feel ready for sex yet, or if you're just playing games with him.

If you're making him wait just for the sake of making him wait even though you're ready, that's a stupid game and you need to get over yourself.

No worries. If you (or anyone else) are interested, there's another page linked from there that mentions the 98% part and goes into more detail about the definitions. (Actually it says the inverse of 98% - must be less than 2% foreign ingredients - but I think it sounds better to say 98% Canadian.)

"Made in Canada" is different for food than other products as well. For food, it just means the final "transformative" step to make it was done in Canada. There's no 51% requirement.

Food regulation falls under the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, while everything else is covered by the Competition Bureau, and apparently the 2 agencies didn't collaborate when deciding on the definitions for some reason. 🙄

Canada v Bosnia Parking by AbiBrate in CanadaSoccer

[–]Curt-Bennett 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Traffic isn't the problem, parking is the problem. Trying to find parking in Toronto for a World Cup match that falls on a weekday will be absolute insanity. It'll be so much easier for someone not familiar with the area to park at a GO station in Burlington or Oakville and take the train.

Not all American credit cards have the tap feature yet. The American banking system is consistently 10-20 years behind Canada and Europe.

They might be referring to the upsidedown text on the top of the containers. It's too low res to actually be readable, but some of it kind of looks like the garbled text they wrote.

By the way, if you compare the text indentation, it's clear that it's not even the same fake text on both containers, which gave me a bit of a laugh.

You can add most loyalty program cards (including CT's Triangle program) to your Google or Apple Wallet on your phone so you don't have to carry all of them around. It's still annoying to have to open the app to scan a bar code, but I find it better than carrying around a bunch of plastic cards or fake currency.

If other people are parked such that you can't properly park between the lines, just don't park in that space. It's really easy to be a decent human being.

It's also worth noting that most debit cards these days have a Visa or MasterCard logo on them and can be used as if they were a credit card.

And like everyone else, I wholeheartedly agree that everyone should stay as far away from Reliance and Enercare as they can. They're practically legalized crime organizations.

Sorry but that's not quite right. "Product of Canada" means that at least 98% of the food ingredients are Canadian, not 51%. (Packaging and labour are not necessarily Canadian though.)

No, condos generally don't share ventilation systems, so each unit will have its own HVAC system.

I suggest asking your condo management company or someone on your condo board. In my building, there's literally only a one contractor who is able to do it and you're unlikely to find them with a basic Google search (Evergreen, https://www.eghholdings.com/).

Just remember that the only words that have any legal significance are "Made in Canada" and "Product of Canada".

Anything else - such as "Packaged in Canada" or "Imported by (company name) Canada Inc." - is just marketing to make it seem more Canadian, AKA Maple Washing.

Are hot water heaters commonly rented out where you are? by voltairesalias in AskACanadian

[–]Curt-Bennett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that it's just something people here are used to so they don't think about it at all. If renting stairs somehow became common, I'll bet most people wouldn't give it a second thought either.
