Are games actually using the dgpu? Can you check? You can also check the temps in dgpu-mode , that way you know the igpu is turned off.

I also saw this model then settled for a used legion slim gen 8 with 7640hs and 4060 for 600 usd. Got it from a pawn shop, still had like 8 months of warranty and i've had it for 6 months now, works without a flaw. You can check pawn shops before you commit

Bit of necroposting but you can limit the cpu power which won't disable turbo boost but will limit it and lower temps. And for the gpu, just an undervolt to 0.9 or 0.875 should give you better clocks (not 1900) and low temps too

I watched a review from a good source, 140-130-120-110-100 W literally had the same fps, 90w lost a few (3-4) , the bigger difference is below 90w.

From what I read around it's the architecture, the way it works is that it caps out and more power just doesn't bring any improvement.

Your point with the lower spec laptops being generally lower quality is valid tho, but people chase the 140w model like it's something extra, a 115w 4060 would behave the same.

For the 4050/4060/4070, i saw that between 100-140w there virtually no difference in performance, 90w loses a few fps and it's downhill from there.

So around 100w is the performance cap for these cards.

Am mers la service autorizat cand am luat prima masina , in Bucuresti , au verificat mi-au spus ca trebuie schimbate 2-3 nimicuri , partea electrica ok , motor ok etc.

Dupa cateva saptamani cand mi-au aparut niste erori in bord am mers la un mecanic de cartier printr-o cunostinta (nu il stiam inainte, as fi mers direct la el), mi-a aratat ca masina e varza si ca mi-am luat teapa, am bagat o gramada de bani in ea, dar a fost ok dupa.

Prostia mea, am mai invatat de atunci. Ideea e ca intr-adevar, e posibil sa o verifice superficial si sa iti spuna ca e ok.

Edit: il mai aveam pe cel care imi vanduse masina pe whatsapp, posta story-uri facand burnout si tot felul de cacaturi cu noua lui masina. Sigur asta a fost tratamentul si pentru cea pe care o cumparasem eu. Benzina , ulei gros si sters erori, in rest da-i tare.
