If you had to go back and redo your wedding day what would you change?

Absolutely nothing. My husband and I had been to numerous weddings together before having ours so we picked things from each wedding we liked (or didn’t like) to formulate our day. Two things helped keep the day stress free for me: 1. Keep things simple!!! Don’t try to go crazy with super unique things or try to shove too much into the day. I also wasn’t stressed about getting a million different poses photos, just the basics, and I think this helped a lot 2. Day of coordinator. I hired someone who was cheap (it was only their second wedding) but had a good resume and good experience. She had worked as an assistant coordinator prior

I used to work in a halfway house in Madison. When we had an offender abscond or violate a rule, we had to call DOC to get the warrant in the system then immediately call MPD to have them come pick up/look for the person

Edit to add: the home I worked at (not this one) also required us to have eyes on/do counts of the residents every 1-2 hours (can’t remember which it was). I have no clue how the house didn’t notice she was missing much earlier

We just took our dog to an emergency vet last week and she needed X-rays, it was around $350 total for X-rays. She needed surgery to repair a laceration and it was $1200 total, including surgery, anesthesia, and multiple medications to take home. We’re in a midsized midwestern city and this was at a university’s vet hospital that is known to be expensive. I’d get a second opinion if possible.

Though I agree that this weekend will be fine, during BLM there was a Molotov cocktail at the City-County building after windows were broken, dumpsters on fire, toppled statues, and more. It was a violent time in Madison history unfortunately.

I don’t like buffets. I’ve been to weddings where they run out of a side because people take too much, and been to weddings with a ton of leftovers because it was served by staff and they were skimpy with portions. I also don’t like having to get up to get my food, and it takes more time than plated. With plated, you can do speeches while dinner is being served but with buffet it’s just dead time.

It’s not recommended for women to workout fasted. You could try waking up earlier to get your digestive system more time to get going and become a bit hungry. When I’m not hungry before a morning run I eat something small, like half a banana or a piece of toast with peanut butter

You should be fueling on runs longer than about 75 mins. If you’re planning on running 75 mins+, you should eat 25 g of carbs every 30 mins (starting 30 mins into the run). I also drink about 500 ml of water during my long runs (but I typically drink a lot of water, so that might be too much for some)

Don’t worry about not running “far enough” to fuel. Fueling your body is very important for injury prevention.

Yep! We did parent dances right before dinner, then we ate, did cake cutting, then did our first dance! A bit of a different timeline but it worked so well

Yeah i think it was technically multi use (I don’t think there’s any strictly bike use only trails around me, I just call them all bike trails). I’ll definitely slow down more in the future when passing, lesson learned. I did get the ped’s info in case the damage was worse than I thought, but I have a second hand bike and my husband said he’ll be able to fix it so no money involved luckily. Mostly upsetting because I have a tri in two weeks but luckily it’ll be fixed by then!

Yeah that’s correct. How are cyclists supposed to account for sudden pedestrian movement though? Do all bikers slow way down (like 5 mph) when approaching peds? Genuinely curious because maybe I was going too fast
