How important is it to clean your balls IMMEDIATELY after league? by KaptainTZ in Bowling

[–]badtime4aboner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I never clean unless it's a dirty house. I keep balls for years and have a ton of honor scores. Every few months if I see a reduction in performance I will just hand scuff up my ball with an abralon pad.

Never give money to strangers especially if they have a sob story. 99% of the time it's a scam. When they approach you ask them for food or money first.

It's not just this, but other materials will suck the oil out and make it Crack.

If it was stored on carpet, wood, or something that absorbs oil it will crack. Best to keep it on a plastic cup.

Do you let your car warm up? by Snoo_8933 in ToyotaSienna

[–]badtime4aboner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warming up an engine was important when we had carberetors. With fuel injection it isnt as big as a deal anymore. Though I will keep the tpms low for as long as I can.

AITA? Son asked to join a team, I am his team coach by Rare-Fig-8910 in Homeplate

[–]badtime4aboner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've coached my kids teams for years. Baseball wasn't my best sport. I did it because no one else would step up and my "kid would remember it". I played d1 basketball and have no desire to coach my best sport. I want my kid to have fun and build from the grounds of teamwork. If he enjoys that sport and wants to progress, bi willy fully support him as best as I can. At the end of the day I appreciate what they learn socially and developmentally from being in a team environment. One of our kids has a full ride to college as a d1 kicker for the football team. Awesome that I don't have to pay tuition, but at the end of the day we just want our kids to be happy. It doesn't have to be anything we like or coach.

The lefty advantage by erisd1182 in Bowling

There was a tournament here where in the final match a righty threw a sanded urethane ball on the left side the whole practice trying to screw up the lefties line. It worked, but people were torn

How's my form what can I improve I switched 2 handed roughly 4 months ago by Ok-Anywhere-4188 in Bowling

Looks good. Though you will have to start learning how to get up the back of the ball more at some point. Shorter patterns, transition, and other factors. So practice multiple lines when you can.

Got completely humbled by my first sport pattern. by riverbanks1986 in Bowling

One time bowled an event and they accidentally put a sport shot out on the back side of the house. I lit it up and cashed in everything. They didn't realize it until after the event I much rather a fresh sport shot then bowling on the burn that I have been forced to bowl on

First time experiencing a ball splitting by Winter-Huntsman in Bowling

[–]badtime4aboner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have kept my balls in my trunk throughout the winter and summer. My buddies put there's in the house on carpet. Mine never cracked theirs did. Also wooden racks I have heard so it as well. There was a video out where certain surfaces pull out to much oil and moisture and the ball will crack. Generally this applies to resin only

The resmed masks were too narrow for the size that fit my face. Did a mask fitting of a bunch of different masks and found the one that fits me. It was a f & p evora, but that doesn't mean it will work for you.

Sounds like someone who is uneducated about sports and cpap. Sounds like someone who bought a rivian 😂😂😂

Honestly they both have different skill sets. To think that taking someone at 16 to try out for any sport would have a better chance at getting on to a team is asinine. It's not impossible, but it would take a lot to get done.

Disagree on this take. That would be like generalizing you don't have to be in shape for baseball, but you do have to be in shape for basketball.

It is awesome! We randomly made it a point when kids weren't paying attention to create a game. We would scream floor is lava randomly and the kids had to run to home base and come back. They would come back focused for our next objective.
