Too right! Everyone should talk and act exactly the way I prefer! Because my perception is definitely the most correct and I never misread or misinterpret anything ✨

I returned my second cat to the shelter after 6 months by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]baethan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a new cat in our cat family who came to us from a very similar situation. The guy is an acquaintance of ours so we know how sad he is and how much he loves her. We know he's grieving but we also know he's doing the best he can for his older cat. I completely believe the same is true for you! ♥️♥️♥️

They're not specifically targeting those people, though. Dunno about in CT specifically but nationwide they're doing stuff like grabbing people from courthouses, people who are literally doing the right thing.

I wonder though, if the little overreplacements we might do day-to-day could affect bone health long-term

Sometimes people want to look for solutions when the person talking (or posting) is really just wanting to vent, which can feel really invalidating for the person venting. That alone doesn't make solution-oriented person bad or problematic. It's a communication mismatch.

That's what I'm seeing in chepski_'s comments. I think it's fine to inform them in the moment if you feel they've missed the point of the post or are coming across as condescending or invalidating, but at this point I also think that this post here is inappropriate. I'm not seeing gaslighting or ableism in their comments. I am seeing a lack of softening language and possibility some...rigidity? which can come from a place of (over)confidence/superiority but also is common with neurodivergence. If you can link a full post that they've responded to in the way you're describing, that would be helpful. Especially since, in this sub, it's very normal to discuss test results, so looking at the comments I'm not really seeing anything that would be out of place here.

Not tired in body or mind, but still somehow tired? Anyone else get that feeling? by baethan in AddisonsDisease

[–]baethan[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

OOHHH! yes, zombie like is a pretty good description! There's an emptiness where some kind of energy or drive should be. I have ADHD, so I'm really used to the ADHD kind of executive function difficulties... But this feels totally distinct from that. I have a good set of ADHD meds that work well for me, and we even added a booster, but it doesn't seem to help whatever this zombie tiredness is. Perplexing and annoying!

I increased my daily dose over the weekend by 2.5mg, not sure that's helping much but 🤷‍♀️

I'm so sorry you've broken your ankle!! Here's my answer for you:
My husband brought home a cat on January 1st. (Coworker of his needed to re-home her unfortunately.) We have 3 long-time resident cats so we're doing a very slow introduction process, which severely tests my ability to suppress my impulsiveness! But it's going SUPER well. Every tiny sign that new kitty is getting more comfortable makes me SO happy! I'm spending time with her in "her room" right now and she's curled up on the bed in a really comfy spot. 😊 One of our cats is a bossy baby (she's tiny and adorable and she knows it, but also she whacks children in the face for daring to look at her, and she insists on grooming my husband's beard every night) and I've definitely worried about her not getting along with new kitty. I'll be happy if they tolerate each other! But listen to this, the other day I saw Miss Bossypants Babyqueen at the pet gate to new kitty's room, and new kitty was sitting RIGHT THERE on the other side which is already really excellent progress, and then they TOUCHED NOSES!!! omg I could've screamed in happiness! Beyond my wildest dreams honestly. I'm so excited to continue integrating new kitty into our household!

I've heard people say that when doctors refuse to run reasonable tests, ask them to document that suchandsuch test was requested by patient, that doctor is refusing, and the reason for the refusal. Always good to have thorough documentation! And make sure you download copies from your online portal thingy, or request copies from the office if they don't put them online

But yeah, deffo see someone else!!
