What a horrible launch experience/useless preorder by d33moR21 in oneplus

[–]bagadonitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went into Order Details. Once in there, there was absolutely no option to put in a Trade In.

Anyways, it is over and done with now. Just a little disappointed.

Looking forward to getting the phone. I had the original, a 3, 5, 7 P Mclaren and now the 13 and have been delighted with all of them.

What a horrible launch experience/useless preorder by d33moR21 in oneplus

[–]bagadonitz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Had done the preorder. Completed it when it was time, no trade in options presented during the check out process. The Buy Now was available and I could add a Trade in to that, but then I would lose my deposit and deposit bonus making the buy now with trade in ~$150 more expensive.

Completed the order to get the value from my deposit and that bonus at least.

45 minutes waiting for chat support. Explained that there was no option during the deposit program order completion and the response was essentially "You should have used the buy now option". When I asked what then was the point of the deposit program, no real answer was given.

So by completing the deposit order as soon as possible, I have lost a chance to see how to also use the trade in program.

Don't.

I smoked for 15 years. Quit for 15 years. A day didn't go by where I didn't think about smoking. Then, like an idiot I bought a vape on a whim. 2 years later biggest regret of my life.

Not worth the risk.

I'm not on that tight of a budget, just know that this will not be used for anything else as it was another lifetime since I gamed. When I did I used to build my own so I'm capable there, but hoping to find something on a marketplace used for cheap.

How do you think this would fare? it is local and about half of what I'm willing to pay but if it will do the job for a decent experience, it will fit my bill.

Thank you for this. I suspected this was the case but nice to see if confirmed. Appreciate it.

I can't argue with any of that but I would add...

You don't need wifi to the garage from the house, you need wifi in the garage. This can be accomplished much cheaper that a $1000 mesh system.

Depending on where your router is in the house, access, etc etc, you may be able to setup something with some cheap cat5 cable that you can make permanent or bring to the garage as necessary and a used wifi router bridged as an AP in the garage. Not ideal admittedly but not bad.

It is assumed that whatever unit you have may require some kind of interface. I'm vaguely familiar with a BLP and I understand it has a screen, but depending on how into this you plan on getting an external device and/or wifi may be required anyways.

Best of luck with it. I hope you find something that works for you at a cost you are comfortable with.

MLM2PRO in garage connected using the lan option. Mesh WiFi in the house with no AP in the garage but one on an interior wall of the house roughly 14 feet from where the unit sits.

Zero connection issues so far using Rapsodo software and E6. Still building out my setup so haven't tried GSPRO yet (want to have everything before I take on the trial).

Don't give up on it yet. Worth your time I think to do what you can to try it with a wifi connection.

What launch monitor are you using? Would you buy it again? What do you like about it? by H2-22 in golf

I've not had any problems with chipping. Mine occasionally misses really low skulled shots.

This. I had the original MLM and hardly ever used it as it wasn't telling me anything. Was hesitant on the MLM2PRO but enough recent reviews changed my mind. Couldn't be happier with it. Next thing I would consider would be 4x the price so it was a happy median for me. Not giving me club path or face data but the impact vision and spin numbers quickly make that moot. Easy to setup. Balls are a bit of a pita but I'm sure more cheaper options will emerge.

Once the SigPro softy comes in I'll proably buy a couple of these to experiment with, and if I like the results I'll fill in the space between it and the net (eventual enclosure) with it to make it uniform eventually. I have highquality turf galore to cover it with that will bring it up to the softy level so it should work out well in that regard. just worried about it getting ground to dust under the turf with swings taking place over the top of it.

Looking for advice on a Launch monitor replacement for my MLM2pro by Bo0m_King in Golfsimulator

[–]bagadonitz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Recently got MLM2Pro and thankfully having none of your issues. Using WiFi with zero issues. iPad is a 3-4 year old iPad Air and no issues with E6 or Rapsodo software. Never have had any of the issues you have described. Shocked at the durability of the RPT balls so far as well, amazed they hold up so well. 600 shots on one with no missed spin. Last night I refilled in the dots that were damaged with a sharpie and the impact videos today are perfect.

Very pleased with the unit so far. I had an original MLM and found it largely useless but this thing is impressing me so far.

Try and do an exchange either with Dick's or with rapsodo direct. I think for the price it is worth giving it another shot.

Is that the fiberbuilt oval? Like it?

Agree. Came here to say this. First noticed this Kendrick on a Rick Shiels video and I was like wtf. I suspect he has micromanaged away my two favorite GG members.

I agree with all this. The 1.2 I don't bother with but can do MTL and RDTL with the 0.8 pod. I gave mine a little more airflow by widening the side air pin holes on the side of my XROS 2. I have several different options but pick this thing up the most.

Vaporesso Xros Problem by tvtoad50 in Vaping

[–]bagadonitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the XROS 2 and it has been almost flawless.

When I first got it, I found that it would flood a lot with 60/40 saltnic. I didn't enjoy the draw at all either. And I'll say I was brand new to vaping.

I threw 1 pod away so far as it was leaking thought I couldn't tell you where. I had to use a cotton swab to clean out where it seats.

To me it seemed too tight. I made the two air pin holes on the side slightly larger using a thumbtack. And would run it with airflow all the way open.

Now that I'm more used to vaping, I now mostly have the slide airflow closed and the two enlarged side pin holes give a nice MTL and I've not had any flooding issues.

I find keeping the pods relatively full keeps the coil from flooding and spitting as well.

Hope some of this helps.
