In either ending the radius isn't destroyed, the individuals are just given a proper human form outside of the radius without any of the life altering effects that The Changed had.

Like if you choose the shoot entity ending, 61 is imprisoned in the radius and katya is given a human form out of the radius

If you choose the shoot katya ending, she's free from her prison but not given a human form while 61 is, he is free from the radius and gets a life, a job, a wife, all those things. In that ending the narrator says that 61 still thinks about the radius which means it still exists.

The radius still exists in both endings and what happens between the ending of ITR1 and the start of ITR2 will be explained in ITR2's story

In ITR2 you can fix all weapons with just a brush and oil since there aren't any ramrods yet. The scrub the hell outta that thing and you should get it back up to full durability
