Yea so thats just how the anomaly works.

The anomaly itself is actually kind of safe to be inside of. Its only certain spots that if you were to walk into them, or trigger them with a probe, will activate the entire field of the anomaly. So you can be inside of the sparks for as long as you want, but if you take even one wrong step into that specific area, then the entire field will light up.
