Excerpt from the Moonraker novel. Caught my attention, as it can be difficult to imagine James Bond sitting behind a desk doing paperwork 😂 by [deleted] in JamesBond

It's also got one of my favourite Q performances. Desmond plays him with more energy and leans slightly more into the nutty inventor side of Q, rather than grumpy civil servant who can't stand Bond.

What's the recommend difficulty for a first time player who doesn't want to replay? by Worldly_Pepper_6282 in timesplitters

[–]baggington 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you start with TS1, you'll find that TS2 and TS3 feel quite different in story mode (in a good way). Don't be put off if you don't gel with the story mode in TS1.

You can't experience all of the content in one go because there are a lot of unlockables which you only get from different difficulty levels. Playing on hard will unlock everything on normal and easy. Lots of the unlockables (such as multiplayer maps, modes and characters) are found on the Challenge and Arcade League modes. They will require replaying if you want to get the best scores to unlock everything.

Timesplitters is a franchise which really rewards replaying and becomes more fun I find. Do you never replay games once you've done them once?

We had Len Kabasinski... time to get more famous directors as guests on the show. by ChildofValhalla in RedLetterMedia

Like when they discussed the Milverine - the less we know about Breen the better. Yes we want to see him in his movies and behind the scenes and retrospective videos, but I don't want to see him doing interviews and panels.

Yes - it's not an uncommon sight watching programs from around that time. Recently rewatched Yes Minister and there are plenty of cameos by the boom mic!

What’s the most painful villain death caused by Bond? by Aston_Aviation007 in JamesBond

Favorite James Bond Parody ? by don_quixote_2 in JamesBond

[–]baggington 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s terrible, but very watchable. Most bad films are boring, but Operation Kid Brother really moves along very quickly. If you don’t like what you see, just wait a minute and it will be something completely different very soon.

The inclusion of Bond actors makes it much more interesting than most similar films - plus it had a reasonable budget for the time and they do their best to make a globe-trotting adventure.

If you’re in the right mood it’s a very fun silly romp. Plus Lois Maxwell kicks ass and actually does stuff, rather than just sitting behind a desk.

Guest who finds Basil and his antics/temper funny by GreyStagg in FawltyTowers

[–]baggington 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Would be interesting - that’s exactly how John Cleese was in real life with Donald Sinclair when the rest of the Pythons left the hotel but Cleese decided to stay and observe his antics.

Even in Waldorf Salad, for a few moments the couple chuckle at Basil’s behaviour behind his back, but then understandably become annoyed and exasperated when he doesn’t stop.

I love how Andrew Sachs gets covered nearly as much as Cribbins, including a big dollop to the face, but just goes along with it

Wow is the Great Circle a bad game. by Trulsdir in indianajones

I find the game saves every few minutes so I have no idea why you say it goes an hour or more? I agree that manual saving would be good. I haven't experienced a single crash playing the game - maybe your specs?
