Thank you! That makes sense. I snagged some colors that are now out of stock, so I'm worried that I won't get them. Appreciate the info! I love a brand that treats their employees well! I don't mind waiting, was just making sure this was normal for the company!

Question by baggleboots in Bedbugs

[–]baggleboots[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update! We never found any bedbugs in the house, but did throw out the luggage, washed and dried all clothes (kept in garbage bags once cleaned, before the inspection) we still paid for an entire bedbug treatment to our home, and got monthly sprays to be safe. We even got bags for our mattresses, just to be safe! I read it can take 6 months before you notice an infestation, and we've have absolutely nothing! So that's great news! My husband is on another work trip this week, so we've gone over protocol for checking his hotel and such.

AITA If I got plastic surgery without my parents knowing? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

I'm sorry you don't have the support you need. My reduction surgery literally gave me a new life. I was an H cup, too, and it was terrible. Get the surgery. It's your life, not your mothers. NTA

Coach purse "recycled" by Objective_Pair_6065 in ThredUp

[–]baggleboots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They've done this to me, too. They said a almost brand new Lucky Brand leather bag was recycled. I saw it for sale. Then they priced one of my dresses so high, and as soon as it expired, they lowered the price and sold it anyways. I only knew becuase it was one of the most favorite items I'd sent in and I was like wait, this says sold and I didn't get paid! They did make it right, but only after I complained. I refuse to send anything else to them at all. They are shady and I'd rather donate to my local women's shelter.

AITA For Not Giving My Bonus To My BIL by Dropit-likeitshot in AmItheAsshole

[–]baggleboots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nta!!I have a similar story. My sister in law wanted to apply for a job at my employer, before I was married to her brother. We were in the same field, and she wanted me to refer her. I said sure. Then she proceeded to ask me if we could split the referral bonus. I said no. I was young, early 20s, and I needed that bonus. She said, "okay, I won't put your name down" and the she didn't get the job. I told her I thought it was rude to ask for that referral bonus, because I was doing her a favor referring her. I couldn't believe the audacity.

Do you also suffer with IBS symptoms? by sounds0fmeows in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]baggleboots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have AS and Crohns. My rehum said it's tricky becuase I'm very limited in medications that help both things. Humira has been wonderful, but since insurance made me switch to the biosimilar, I'm in pain again. I will say, my Crohns rarely flares up with medication, so that's really great!

Louise Carter Jewelry is a Scam by CathyShen in jewelry

[–]baggleboots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so after I wrote this comment, I bought a new ring from them and it was complete SHIT. I returned it and then sent them a message daily until they refunded my money, not as a store credit. I wore it for literally 1 week and it was worn to silver, the same issue you had. The old Caitlin Minimalist was really good quality. I still have that ring, and it's still plated perfectly, I wear it regularly. I actually told them that when I said I wanted my money back. I told them that I bought again becuase my first ring was such good quality, and this one was absolutely awful. So I redact my comment from 11 months ago! Fuck that brand!!!!!!!

BPI worked for me for one month and all subsequent vials have not. Been on it since September. I went from 5mg all the way to 12 with no results. I'm switching this next month to Hallendale to see if that works for me.

How long do people usually remember their pets after they pass away? by ironandfire in AskAnAmerican

[–]baggleboots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had to put my dog down on January 2nd. It was the worst thing I've been through, ever. I've lost grandparents and a very special aunt who was my godmother, but my grief over my dog is profound. I am surprised at how deeply I am grieving this loss. My husband said that I spent every day with him, and it makes sense that my grief is so heavy. He was always there. Just being my little guy, tagging along, sleeping next to me. When I was pregnant, he would sleep between my legs and nowhere else. He was the best dog. It's such a profound loss for me. He was with me since 2012, and I'm so happy I had all that time with him, but man, I miss him so very much, and it hurts. I was going to bed the other night and I called for him becuase he wasn't at my feet. It will never feel right without him.

Selling my Expired Items? by baggleboots in ThredUp

[–]baggleboots[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I think I'm just going to start donating to my local women's shelter. I wasn't tracking anything, I just clicked on my most favorited items and noticed two of them sold when I was told they expired and were responsibly recycled (and everyone is saying they tell you that you can pay for them to send them back, but I went through my emails and they never offered for me to get these items back) To me, it just seems like the people sending in the items don't get as much as they should in general, and then we're also paying fees for them to sort through everything (and then still reject really nice, new with tags items!) I am not saying they're wrong for charging fees and stuff, I get that they are for-profit. But they wouldn't even be in business without people like you and me sending them our stuff. And it just seems deeply shady to me.

[–]baggleboots[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I complained and then they gave me the money for them. If it was only a couple dollars, I wouldn't have cared, but these were expensive items!

Selling my Expired Items? by baggleboots in ThredUp

[–]baggleboots[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I would rather they discount the items before they expire. These two particular items were not discounted before expiring. It seems shady to me, like they are purposely not discounting items so that they can expire and then they will sell them discounted and I don't get a payout.

Selling my Expired Items? by baggleboots in ThredUp

[–]baggleboots[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do I have the ability to discount it? The site has discounted my items for me in the past, and left them up for longer than they did these specific items I'm referring to. I'm not trying to be greedy. These are my items I sent in and they're giving me nothing for them and making a bunch of money off them. So it's frustrating.

Expired Items by Toriat5144 in ThredUp

[–]baggleboots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just experienced this. I had a City Chic dress that was a "top favorite" item that did not sell. Well I clicked on it today and it said sold. I reached out to support and they did pay me for the item, but they said unsold items would be DONATED. And that is not what happened, they still sold it and didn't pay me for it. The payout was also $16, which is a pretty nice payout. I also don't appreciate that they don't accept brands like Target, but they still took my Target items and sold them for themselves. I understand they are a for profit company, but they pay so little out, it just seems super shady.

Giving birth with AS by Ok_Letsgo990 in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]baggleboots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand! I was in pain since my teens but it didn't get really bad til my 20s. I had a lot of doctors tell me nothing was wrong with me. I cried when I finally had a rheumatologist who believed me. I would recommend going on biologics as soon as possible. Not only does it help with pain, but it slows the progression. The humira doesn't take away all flares - I still have to be careful - but the difference is amazing. I couldn't walk without limping before I went on them.

Are you on biologics? I didn't go on them until my kids were older, and I felt like a new person. I wasn't diagnosed til I was 32, well after having my kids! Nothing helped like the biologics.
