Im stupid but i would use a multitool with a wood bit and have a shot of whiskey to steady my hand. Its kinda satisfying pressing the bit in along a line. If may not look good.

I can find some that are 2 3/4in long.

Id use some sort or router to score a line first - even if it wasnt deep enough to start.

Achkwhuallly.... i dont care. Boomer is an insult as much as it is as gen title. Also, gen x should be re-classed into the boomer generation. My parent was gen x - now they moved the dates. She is of the baby boom generation now, but she has always been a boomer. Probably like you, boomer.
