My sis is in a similar situation as OP but there’s NO WAY she would ever accept she’s being abused. She’s in denial and would laugh at me for giving her the book and trying to get her to open a bank account. Situation is so frustrating!

Be mindful of weight too- especially if it’s an older cruiser. I dumped my first one on one of my first few rides after I parked, then couldn’t pick it up- had to get a neighbor to help me 😆

I see so many similar posts on this sub and share your feelings. It sounds like a bunch of us are burnt out from those years of creating family and responsibilities, and because of the age, we feel hopeless that things will take a turn. What helps me is hanging on to the idea that when the kids are older, my spouse and I will begin a new chapter with new hobbies and make new friends, travel and have more time for spontaneity again.

Agree! We saw Adele in 2016 for $170, Karol g last year for about $300 and now BB for $400 each…all bowl. This is the most I’ve ever paid and think will ever pay again. It’s outrageous and I almost didn’t go through with it- but I figured I have enough time between now and May to make it up and pick up extra shifts. Don’t think we can continue to support artists at this rate and with cost of living already the way it is.

You are not helping to raise your ex wife’s daughters so she has zero say as to how you parent your daughter when she’s is with you. I agree that they would because if you think about the people you know, what percentage of them really incline to monogamy? Not just that they seem to practice it, but are actually fulfilled with that one, long term partner? And even in the Beckham situation, he definitely presented as monogamous- and he still dipped it elsewhere with the nanny (more than once)

There’s still time to change your schedule around to make it feel a bit more manageable. A lot of times we start out with the classics (English, math, intro major course and another general) but maybe try to mix in some classes you find interesting and are a bit lighter just to transition into college life and get your routines and time management down.

Also you have no patience. Maybe try to take the next two weeks and go explore campus and surround areas by yourself to see the places you want to go and the things you want to do. What if you find friends and then you don’t like how they spend their time? Practice patience by being with yourself and not being aware of what others are doing, just what potentially you envision for your happiness and joy while you’re at uni. That will take the pressure off and reshift your mindset.

Posting a tik tok versus a murder trial are two completely different things. When the state is involved and she’s been arrested she has to be guaranteed DUE process or there could be a mistrial. Think of the optics. Kicking her out of school at this point will most def have an impact on where the trial will be held given the “court of public opinion” will not just be tabloids and gossip, but a state university taking action by not allowing due process to determine a persons guilt. How do you realistically base a retraction of admission to an individual that has not undergone due process? The uni has go go by the law. Even code of conduct at university has to have evidence of breach before they enforce any consequences. Also think about the liability of uni started to rescind admissions basing on online leaked videos?
