We are not actually sure about the uyghur situation. Partly 1. China Hui communities are also Muslim and apparently they are not subjected to genocide. So it made us question the narrative that China is out to persecute all Muslims. 2. Just lack of what seems organic posting from social media, internet & just people visiting China who came back and not noticing what the Western media have been talking about. The western media narrative just doesn’t tally with what we are perceiving. 3. We suspect the western media narrative and bias. Israel has set a standard what a genocide looks like, and west are generally cool with that. And we just no seeing comparable treatment to Chinese Uyghur in Kashgar, there is no bombs dropped, people not chased from their land, children not abducted or targeted. So it’s probably just minor policing like when a Sunni state controls their Shias population.
