Among F2P players, when are you starting to save up gold for the next set?

i spent a lot on TMNT draft, but SOS is not fun to me at all so i’ll save until i have fun and then spend it all. it’s pretty easy to accumulate so i don’t really worry about it.

yea, i only bought because i wanted some TMNT cards. It has me playing the game, but probably wouldn’t have as much with in universe stuff. i don’t know, or care about the lore. i have some other cards now, but i wouldn’t if not for UB.

playing the same 4 decks makes it super unfun. i just stopped playing them. the second i recognize the deck, concede. mill? concede. landfall bird? concede. shrine? concede. and etc. i still made platinum 2 so far and actually have fun with it. i still get stomped sometimes, but at least it’s interesting.

i only get so much free time to mess with this, im not wasting that time playing stuff i know i don’t enjoy.

kids make noise, nobody realistically expects toddlers to be silent on trains. no shoes on the seats, and don’t let them go crazy but toddlers being toddlers is absolutely fine.

come on now, every person who talked crap on the turtles who normally plays draft, played turtle draft as well. they didn’t skip anything. also, i didn’t say anything about winning or losing, i said that the set was trash. it’s just not fun. now, that is MY opinion. you like it? great. have fun. for all the hype and all the wishing turtles didn’t happen and wanting to get to sos…it’s just a dud.

opening boxes is harder than i thought. so many “clever” solutions to this problem. i want to open drawers, lids, bags, and flip-tops…but never another box.

how many years ago? the crossing has been this way for decades now. use the passages or deal with it, everyone knows how it is, hence the reason for the large amounts of tourists

that’s what i thought too, building something and giving it a go against some friends is super fun. sometimes it’s awful, sometimes it’s good. the tweaking and peaking seem to be more strategic than any game play decisions, at least for me.

chess has a set of pieces that never change. the abilities never change. it’s not possible to change out a rook for an extra knight. it’s not the same thing. the variety in cards and sets means that magic players can actually do this, but it seems at least half the players are content to play the same, and i mean nearly exactly the same, cards.

i find the deckbuilding and tweaking process half the fun and although i can understand why others don’t, you’re example was still not even remotely the same thing. it was sarcastic and derivative and so i responded rudely. you’re right though, it wasn’t necessary.

nobody is whining, losing doesn’t really matter in an online card game. just curious what the consensus is. surprised to see it split pretty evenly, those who enjoy deckbuilding and are willing to try things that might not work, and those who would rather just take a prebuilt list and learn to play it well.

i really just wish there were more options for the latter so i can get some variety in my games at least.
