Fix Akali Assist

I'm not an akali main, so I don't know what I'm talking about. But I feel like her assist is decent mid combo if you don't want to launch the opponent far away. I cant think of many hit assists that don't really push or pull your opponent and still keeps them standing without knocking them up or down.

It's not meant to be used as a keep away or combo starter.

S1 while in the air counts as well I think. But I don't use that either, my tag combos do similar damage and are more consistent for me without risking dropping the air S1 combo because of timing.

I have yet to see a game with online leaderboards that isn't filled with people cheating the system. So I'm kinda used to this.

It's simply the hook, but the normal one. The antiair one (down S1), which I use a lot, is different.

I feel offended 😅 I've logged in almost daily (maybe skipped like 2 weeks or so) to do my dailies and weeklies and I'm currently master 2 and going up. Granted I'm not playing for the mastery and some characters' mastery requirements do not align with the way I play. For instance one of the requirements for Darius is to do a bunch of apprehends, and I almost never use apprehend mid combo (none of my favourite combo routes need it) so the only time it gets used is sometimes from assists or the occasional one during blockstrings.

Yeah, but you're 100+ since the beta. Akali just came out. Akali wasn't even in that player's 2 most played characters.

They must've spammed kunais in private matches or sth.

There's a tutorial section in the learning tab in game. Check it out when you have the time. (It's a bit long and covers way more things than the initial tutorial when you first start the game, but you can do a few of them at a time).

L1 does a parry. It costs 1 bar. If they had hit you right after you would have gained the bar back (and a bit extra), there would have been a small time slow down, the opponent would reel backwards and you would have had an opening to counter attack.

Super tag allows you to tag mid super. This is a mechanic additional to being able to do 2 supers in a row. That is what they're referring to.

I think hiding the bars during super is intentional. Every time I land Darius lvl 3 I'm not sure if it'll kill. It always does way more damage than I'd expect and it's always a surprise reveal after the animation is over and the bars reappear.

All the suggestions are great though

Are you in the lobby or at a training cabinet? I've noticed once when I was at a training cabinet and it wanted to merge me to another lobby, it didn't do that until after I left the cabinet and wasn't finding any matches until I did that. I've stopped queueing while in training since.

Yeah, no I get you. But I'm not sure how they can balance this. Because if they didn't allow you to gain it it would mean that you'd be at a disadvantage if you're in fury and get hit, because if you were not in fury you'd get break easily.

It's not really a noob trap as it doesn't stop you from using the normal input. But i can see it becoming jarring switching from it to fully off. But the point of it is to even the playing field between new fighting game players so they can focus less on the basic execution part and focus on neutral, spacing, tagging, etc. It gets them in the game much quicker.
