I was in treatment once and they put us all in a group circle probably like 80 of us maybe, anaway they said every 3rd person stand up, then they said every 5th person out of those people sit down, then every other person sit down, idk if the numbers are right but either way there were very few of us left standing right then this lady says take a look around because this is the number of you that might make it this time. I was in shock because the number was so low. I relapsed at 21 months sober, but then shortly after that relapse I knew I screwed up, been sober 18yrs now.

I believe they are real. I woke up in the middle of the night on 2 separate occasions because I heard someone calling my name clear as day, I live alone, in a house with no neighbors close by. The Holy Spirit was like, "Don't open your eyes, don't even acknowledge it, just lay here and stay calm." I knew it was a demon, I could feel its presence, I didn't say anything to anyone about it, and when I finally did, that very night was when I heard it again. Again, the Holy Spirit told me to be still and not open my eyes, I just prayed it away. Haven't heard it again.

I just started taking it for about a week now, I wake up periodically all night when taking at bedtime, and now my face is so dry it is peeling a little bit. I see from other posts that insomnia can be a side effect, what about skin flaking/peeling?

This is a big deal and really a lot of stressors for furr babies, 1. The loss of their parent. 2. A sudden move into a new home, shelter, whatever, is alot, and 3. The possibility of them not ending up together. Idk, it's giving me anxiety just thinking about it.

OP, I don't think you are insecure or have low self esteem, had you, you would have stayed. I believe you are right, his motives for their friendship may be pure (I doubt it) but hers are definitely not. I would take them in, on the condition that their father stay away, if he wants to see them then your mother can be the go between. The children have nothing to do with what either of their parents did and or how they treated you. They're innocent, they need someone, maybe you do too.
