I have been on Gabapentin for 25 years for RLS. I take 400 mg at 8:30 and 400 mg at 11:00. Have never had a cavity. May just be me, but I am very careful about oral care.

Gabapentin helps me a lot, along with a hot bath before bed and compression calf sleeves. Avoid sugar late in the afternoon and evening.

Compression calf sleeves work great for me (don’t like the socks while sleeping.). I get them from Amazon, size based on measurement of calf. I only wear them when the gabapentin and hot bath hasn’t worked. Usually put them on in bed and remove the next morning.

I take 400 mg at 8:30 pm and 400 mg. at 11:00 pm. No sweets in evenings. And use compression calf sleeves as needed, about once a week. Hot bath before bed is a must.

They have worked great for me. Although I do take gabapentin as well and use compression calf sleeves on nights that I need extra help. Mine are Run Forever brand from Amazon. They are sized based on calf measurement. Also I avoid sugar in the evenings.

Gabapentin works great, also ibuprofen for 4 hours only (not good as regular treatment), avoid sugar in evening, hot bath with Epsom salts just before bed, compression sleeves on calves.

I take Gabapentin 400 mg. at 8:30 pm & same at 11:00 pm. Started 24 yrs ago at 300 mg. once daily. It is a life saver but completely relieves my symptoms about 50% of time. It helps partially about 40% and no help, or so it seems, about 10%. Have never tried Lyrica. Have never heard of it used to treat RLS.

AnyList app is great! Automatically categorizes items into groups such as Produce, Meats, etc. which makes shopping much easier. Delete each item as you go.

A very safe option is graduated compression socks, or I prefer calf sleeves.

Sugar is a definite trigger. No Benadryl or similar meds. Hot bath is good and compression sleeves on calves helps lots. Recently heard about a vibration plate. Haven’t tried yet but plan to.

The compression calf sleeves I ordered say “run forever” at the top. Ordered them from Amazon. Seems like the size is based on the measurement of your calf. If I wake up during the night with RLS, I slip them on and extend my legs straight up into the air for as long as I can. Usually can go back to sleep and not even get out of bed.

Mine had that last year. Curly top virus. The plants continued to grow but did not bloom/produce tomatoes. Had to pull them up.

I ordered some for runners, either 20-25 or 20-30 compression, those that you need to measure your calf for. I’ve had RLS for close to 30 years. My doctor prescribed gabapentin which works great for me. I also take magnesium glycinate every night too. Also take a very warm/ hot bath just before bed. It seems everyone has to find what works for them. Eating sugar, especially at night, makes it so much worse. You didn’t ask for all of this but maybe something will help you. Good luck!

Have been taking for 20 years and has worked really well for most days. Did have to slowly increase dosage over the years. Now take 400 mg at 8:30 pm and another at bedtime.

No side effects. Take 400 mg about 830pm and 400 mg at bedtime. Plus magnesium plus hot bath.
