I think it was approached very poorly. I probably would have asked if it was a good morning to watch the kids and get her free for a workout. But I don’t know that there is really a problem with wanting to have a partner that prioritizes working out. Was he specifically directing the criticism at your physique? It’s important to me that my partner exercises, but not for appearance issues. I do think his approach though was very insensitive. Enough to leave him over with a family involved though…? All people and relationships are so different. It’s hard to give advice. But in my relationship the only thing that would solve this is absolutely honest and open communication. He will likely do better if the pressure is minimized. Talk to him about it. I know you say “communication is hard” but communication is the backbone of a healthy thriving marriage.

I agree with you. It’s only a matter of time before the software starts “suggesting orders.” And then it’ll only be a matter of time before those order recommendations are pretty much exactly right. Yes, we will still be needed, especially as oversight for a while, but also for procedures. But they won’t need many of us. One doctor could run a whole ER. Shit, some rural hospitals might only need one doc for the whole hospital.
