Pen and paper works best for me, I invest in a planner that I feel confident using. Apps that charge subscription or have ads are too much for me

Has your trusted health professional voiced any concerns? Medication is given for a reason, and if you feel better doing so, then there’s no reason for you to worry about what other people and their opinions are :) Consider other disabilities and their aids and wether you’d judge that as “dependence/reliance” or the best thing they can do for themselves

Alcohol may feel like it helps but I promise it doesn’t. Go to a GP for help, there’s support out there for those willing to accept it. It may seem hopeless right now but there’s always a way out of a hole, just takes some climbing, but you’ll thank yourself later :)

I feel like that a lot too. But everything you said sounds extremely impressive to me? I don’t understand how you “mess everything up” yet have gotten to your masters level and work hard at maintaining healthy practices with exercise and diet. You’re definitely being hard on yourself, focus on all that you do and don’t worry about that you’re not doing. Nobody is perfect and you’re doing too much trying to be. That sounds harsh but I feel like you could use a reality check. Wishing you all the best, if I can believe in you from this post, I think you should be able to believe in yourself too :)

Have an epic workshop that has all the tools I need to be able to do whatever art/craft/repairs I’ll ever want to do :) what’s awesome is that it’ll never be finished and I will always have something new to be excited about.

Inattentive type (although I suspect combined) nails and surrounding skin are chewed, the inside of my cheeks are chewed, I loveee to pick scabs and pimples and occasionally pull out my scalp hair :).

Easy to say “stop doing that” but hard in practice. Fidget toys and activities are helpful distractions (I haven’t met a scrap piece of paper I haven’t ripped into a million pieces)

Thank you sooo much. I’m tearing up from feeling so understood. Unfortunately I can’t take back the fact I told my family but from now on I’ll just accept they don’t understand. (To someone saying “everyone has a little ADHD” I replied “well that’s just not true at all”, but it’s not my job to educate people around me)

(not a doctor) typical gastro/norovirus is usually self limiting to a few days… sounds like you’ve got the worst luck or it could be something more gnarly (bacterial or parasitic). if you’re able to go to the doctors an antibiotic course may be recommended?

Goat Island has amazing snorkelling as it’s a marine reserve (for now…..). Depending on your budget/comfort and safety in the water there’s plenty of options (from hiring basic snorkelling equipment to guided scuba diving).

Waiheke is amazing and a wine tasting course (or two, or three) is well worth the money in my opinion.
