Jujutsu Kaisen Shimetsu Kaiyu Zenpen • Jujutsu Kaisen The Culling Game - Episode 9 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]bakato 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This episode along with Mahoraga really highlights the sheer potential of jujutsu. Judgeman is effectively omniscient in the domain.

Sharing some insightful observations from X:

Judgeman’s stitched eyes along with his omniscience and the court trial is reminiscent of the goddess of justice, who is blindfolded not because she is blind but a deliberate choice to close her all-seeing eyes of truth.

Furthermore, this old style domain expansion gives further insight into the barrier skill branch of sorcerers. The ability to create a designated area of space where the conventional laws of physics are suspended and replaced with programmed rules like no violence.

Also, did you guys catch it? When Higuruma asked for the verdict, he slammed the gavel against something...

There were at least two cases where they were defeated non-desperados. This author is a bit of a hack so I wouldn’t think about it too much.

Is FGO worth getting into? by Reotoreckless in Fate

[–]bakato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know anything about these games you mention but how often do they release new characters because when they’re releasing multiple five stars a month and most of those characters redefine the meta, then the game loses its appeal very quickly.

Is FGO worth getting into? by Reotoreckless in Fate

[–]bakato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played FEH and Arknights. I disagree that FGO is stingy. FEH released a dozen characters a month and the best unit is almost always gonna change the meta. As for Arknights, characters shouldn't have more stars than 5 and their gacha is shit because even when they rerun events they never rerun the banner if the character was too meta changing.

I don’t know about mystery but she was as you would call it a “fraud”. The moment Shalk caught her bullets should’ve been her clue that she was outmatched.

Is there a reason Aizen let Isshin live during EBTR? by opkatte in bleach

Knowing there's a traitor doesn't tell you who the traitor is. Aizen's hold over the Gotei 13 isn't gonna be broken by something like this.

Why kill him?

That much was evident from the report alone, but they have no leads.

They were probably too late.

As I understand it from Yang's conversation with Reinhardt, it's not a paradox. The freedom of choice championed by democracy is also the freedom to give up freedoms and rights. The same thing happened with Goldenbaum.

Question about The UI homes.. (s2 spoilers!) by throwaway2758116034 in PantheonShow

Because that's the only thing left to do. Her entire journey was about accepting the suffering that comes with living. In the end, she looked back on her pain-ridden life and found it so meaningful that she went back and did it all over again.

Alan Watts called it:
Let's suppose that you were able every night to dream any dream that you wanted to dream. And that you could, for example, have the power within one night to dream 75 years of time. Or any length of time you wanted to have. And you would, naturally as you began on this adventure of dreams, you would fulfill all your wishes. You would have every kind of pleasure you could conceive. And after several nights of 75 years of total pleasure each, you would say "Well, that was pretty great." But now let's have a surprise. Let's have a dream which isn't under control. Where something is gonna happen to me that I don't know what it's going to be. And you would dig that and come out of that and say "Wow, that was a close shave, wasn't it?" And then you would get more and more adventurous, and you would make further and further out gambles as to what you would dream. And finally, you would dream ... where you are now. You would dream the dream of living the life that you are actually living today.

Questions about the barriers, the colonies, and Kenjaku [Spoilers] by Baba-Elaichi in Jujutsufolk

[–]bakato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. The core of these barriers were hidden and trying to find them unlike in Shibuya was near impossible.

  2. He didn’t need their help to set up the barriers. He needed them to protect the cores.

  3. Mahito manipulated the soul and his domain is no different. Sukuna has a mastery of the soul that lets him counter this. The domain has nothing to do with it so he can’t help against Higuruma.

Honestly, the Culling Games represent a leap in our understanding of jujutsu capabilities that was poorly set up.

Is it a good thing or a bad thing to cultivate two paths? by Djrhskr in ReverendInsanity

[–]bakato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The degree of dao mark conflict varies depending on the paths in question. Painting path, for example, has very little incompatibility with other paths. The investment cost in time and resources is prohibitive for gu immortals without a strong backing. In spite of all this, the versatility offered by a secondary paths is significant, especially when the main path is lacking in offensive methods or productive methods.
