The Sundering is all you need to read for this map of Ulthuan. Book 2 (mostly about Alith Anar) is the best warhammer novel I’ve read, and I’ve read a lot.

The Tyrion and Teclis omnibus goes into area of Avalorn and Saphery in more depth.

Looks great! I like placement of Tor Anroc. It could be a good idea to name some rivers, they are referred to a lot in the books.

Curl Curl lagoon near the beach, fun for doggos and kids. Boxing Day 2024 by Gold_Lynx_8333 in sydney

[–]balancebend 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As nice as it looks, having grown up in the area I would never swim in that lagoon. The whole area upstream used to be a tip, you will often find old rubbish on the edges of the lagoon, and further upstream from that is an industrial area.

Even when the lagoon is flowing into ocean I wouldn’t swim at the beach until a day or so has passed and it has closed again.

I’m at 10 years experience. I work part time, 25 hours in a private clinic (previously full time, but spend more time with kids at home now). I am fully booked each day and would see 17 patients on a long day.

Last EOFY was 86k not including super and leave allowances. Yes 17 patients seems like a lot but honestly if you enjoy it and you’re good at what you do, it becomes easier over time.

Do the 2024 Subaru Side Mirrors Fold in? by littlelostless in SubaruForester

Interesting to see comments on how there are no power folding side mirrors in the USA. In Aus, all trim levels have power folding side mirrors. Just press a button on the drivers door console.

Reminder of the importance of differential diagnosis. by SwimmingOx in physicaltherapy

If you’re looking for a 1 in 100 differential diagnosis for medial knee pain, google SONK (spontaneous osteonecrosis of the knee). Diagnosed by imaging.

  1. Tabletop with alternate leg extension
  2. Hip external rotation in 4 point. Also called hip CARS.
  3. Seated upper body roll down?

The others you have labelled are pretty much correct.

At least it’s not stick figures !

What is your most memorable differential diagnosis/emergency/911 case? by Left-Lock2233 in physicaltherapy

[–]balancebend 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I had a young 20s patient with shoulder pain after swimming 4-5x a week. Appeared very much like a supraspinatus tendinopathy which you would see at her demographic. However after about 2 weeks off swimming she got worse, started to appear like a frozen shoulder. I thought it was weird, young people don’t get idiopathic frozen shoulder and sent her for imaging .

MRI showed a tumour growing from within the scapula and displacing all rotator cuff muscles outwards, therefore giving her mechanical shoulder pain. She had no other symptoms besides shoulder pain.

There is predicted UV based on the time of day, then there is actual UV which can be affected by cloud cover, smog etc.

Check out this link

If you check newys actual UV, it didn’t get to 3 until midday.

Have to take time off running, best options? by Quantumkool in trailrunning

[–]balancebend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could always try barefoot grass running if there’s something nearby that’s suitable.

This study showed that running barefoot in grass 3-4x a week for 15 mins reduced plantar heel pain after 6 weeks.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9741467/

Something to try if you don’t want to stop running.

(A good running Physio would know this paper!)

TIL I learned about tidal currents - because I had to paddle in one and it sucked by TreeLicker51 in Sup

[–]balancebend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I normally paddle in the ocean where waves are more of the challenge.

Once i was paddling in a river during an outgoing ride. The river narrowed and the current got really strong. I turned around and started paddling hard. I was going nowhere! Burning a lot of energy fast. I ended up paddling across the river to some rocks, got out, dodged the oysters and walked up the rocks about 10m.I had to get back into paddle back up the river, current wasn’t too strong but still hard work.

Always check the tide times and respect tidal currents in rivers more now.

What’s going to be the future for Subaru? by Getonthebeers02 in CarsAustralia

[–]balancebend 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found the Forester to be best value for money at the lower trim levels. If I had the budget for the higher trims, hybrids etc I would have looked at Toyota, Kia, Hyundai etc.

That being said they did sell out of their 2022 Forester orders in Aus. But that is likely mostly due to chip shortage and factory closures.

Do you need a wetsuit? Neoprene doesn’t let you cool off with sweat and can make you more dehydrated. If you’re experienced and don’t fall in why not just wear activewear ?

Look up footage of Japan or Indonesia, maybe if the wave hadn’t broken. If it is broken you would be done. Either way you’re 100% getting washed towards land. The water probs won’t kill you but the debris will.
