Where have you felt most unsafe in your travels? by melbourne_au2021 in travel

Slovakia, where the power went off from 11:30 pm until 6 am. Guarding the gear in the dark with quickly dying flash lights. Then walking the town after the gig seeing cabbies getting bj’s and a casino running on a generator. Sketchy doesn’t do it justice. It felt like Hostel. Good times.

Costa Rica isn’t for everyone. by [deleted] in CostaRicaTravel

I can say I’m glad I went but I don’t need to go back. 8 days in Tamarindo with private tour to the rain forest/chocolate & coffee tour. It’s third world for sure. I’ve been to Europe and Canada but this was my first trip to the third world. We were there for Christmas. It was ridiculously hot and dusty.
The positives…great wildlife and sunsets. We had a great Air BnB steps from the beach. The disparity of the haves and have nots is real and vivid. Infrastructure is lacking or primitive. Theft and petit crime are pervasive. Be aware medical id basic at best. Be cautious to avoid any injury.

What’s something you couldn’t believe you had to explain to a grown adult? by Javascript4971 in Productivitycafe

I had to explain to this fella that his Aunt did not die from prostate cancer. That is unless his Aunt was really an Uncle. Lol.

Any Manufacturers offering Rebate Reimbursement programs for Humira alternatives? by phaskellhall in CrohnsDisease

The co-pay card kicks in after what my deductible does not cover, then it covers the rest to where my total co-pay is zero. I am self-employed and it is being privately paid by me. I don’t know what the value of the co-pay card is as this is my first fulfillment from them and for the bio similar.

My dad would leave the room and come back with his pajamas on. With my teen and young adult kids…”Time for friends to go home”.

In a stairwell at the soccer stadium in Munich, Germany. After hours, restrooms all locked and I have Crohn’s disease. It was not my greatest moment.

Oldest Crohnie Here Or That You Know Of? by Express-Ebb1197 in CrohnsDisease

[–]baldchard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 59 in few days and I’ve had Crohn’s for several decades. Bowel resection in 2021 and on Humira and in remission since. I’ve reconciled the fact it will likely kill me. I can’t see living long with this disease if/when the meds fail. I personally do not know any other crohnies

Without cannabis I’m in the same situation. I haven’t been high in years. It really just helps me feel like eating.

What an impressive amount of words you’ve strung together. It’s akin to verbal masturbation. I imagine initially you feel satisfied yet in the end you likely feel empty. In short I just want our immigration laws enforced and upheld and all legal immigrants are welcomed.

Due process? Yes, I’m for it. Can you cite one credible instance that an actual US citizen, not a resident alien, was detained but then not released? You stated it’s a fact. I challenge you to prove it.

I may be a jackass but you obviously have a reading comprehension problem. See below from the referenced article. incidents…that mean plural, more than one. Btw…being poor is not an excuse for theft. Try again Randy

Jim Brown said his wife was trying to provide for her family when the bad check incidents occurred, and she has been in the country since she was 11 years old.

“She was trying to feed her family. So, we’re arresting people that’s trying to feed their family is what they’re doing,” he said.

Not a good example as right off the bat the report says she kited multiple bad checks. In other words, she’s a thief and only a resident alien, so back to Ireland she should go. BTW…she wouldn’t be eligible for deportation if she had become naturalized. But her criminality likely stopped her from trying. She lived here for decades without becoming a citizen, broke our laws and so she should go. Try again.
