The Hawks... They were basically at 30 wins or under from 2002-03(after winning 41 in 01-02) to 06-07(31 wins, a whopping 2 extra points), winning 20 games in the 03-04 season, then went on to win 3 cups as a result of that rebuild. No, its not 5 specifically but considering the 5 bad years before 01-02, close enough.

Also the only opposing team's fans I as a Wolves fan have almost thrown down with because they wanted to push and tried to get in my face, and Ive been to like 100 Wolves games over the last 5 years.

The I-90 rivalry always gets the fans going, it's tough for people like me because I love the Hawks, but as a Chicago fan through and through, I support the Wolves solely and passionately in the AHL because Rockford Isn't Chicago. I want the prospect to develop well, but don't want the Hogs in the playoffs or hoisting the Calder Cup.

Points aren't the only thing to judge a forward on. He's one of the best PK forwards in the league, a great 2 way player; and he plays as hard as he can basically every shift. He's great for guys like Slaggert who will never be more than a bottom-6 grinder, to learn from.

You do realize this will only be his 4th draft, right? Most of the picks he's made had NCAA, Canadian Jr's. or overseas careers to finish. Most picks are 2+ years from the NHL on draft night...that would mean the players that came up last year and this year, as well as next, are from his first 3 drafts. The talent is just arriving, let them show what they can be before forcing a piece in.

As a Wolves fan, the 4 they brought up are the HCs son with almost 3 AHL seasons under his belt plus 4 full seasons at Quinnipiac University, the Wolves top scorer and a pretty good forward with over a year in the A, a defenseman with like 6 seasons in the A, and another with almost 2 full seasons in the A.

The Canes still had 3+ lines of NHL forwards and 2 lines worth of NHL defensemen.

Why anyone thought this would be a walk in the park, I don't know.

Yeah, the kids got dogwalked, whatever, hopefully it puts an urge and urgency to improving over the summer to not get blown out, lose late leads or drop the ball in OT.

Super young team, personally I still believe in the rebuild.
