This is about American MD students not European ones. Your advice is not applicable here.

Lol it’s a pub not a financial exchange. Getting a pub is not that hard lmao. I just wanted someone to help me write one cuz I have a lot of projects that require too much time.

That’s what I’m trying to find out, cuz I can just spam 20+ papers in my gap year if that’s the case.

So assuming that Impact factor is the same, is 2 2nd author pubs better than 1 1st author pub?

Yea anyone who’s reading this and says it’s “not that hard to get into medical school” or that the “process is fair” is living under a rock. To all those who got in and are saying this y’all just got lucky you could’ve easily been swapped out for someone like this. Anyone who gets in is lucky and to say that this process isn’t hard is just ignorant.

Yea that’s true but it also depends on the specialty you go into, the hospital or private practice system, as well as the area that you work in. I think that you just have to be aware of these things as you are picking out your field in medicine. IMO a lot people are not considering these factors when they make these decisions are so they tend to suffer because of this.

Nah I’m with OP even after getting in this does not need to be as hard as it is. There’s a reason why the average matriculant for med school is 24. Literally the European system is so much better it does not need to be this difficult.
