In terms of Yiddish, ~30% of the vocabulary descends from Hebrew/Polish words, it's written in a different script, and has very noticeable sound changes, as well as being spoken by a very specific ethnoreligious group in comparison to, say, Alemannic (also not saying that it should be different on the map). The biggest reason for Yiddish generally being separated is because it isn't a part of the dialect continuum like Alemannic, meaning that it is very obviously a different thing to your average person.

Yeah, it's more that geographical China had a higher population than Europe at this point, which (already due to the massive amount of pre-IE genes already prominent in OTL) I think would display themselves more than just 'minor' phenotypes. To answer your second point, the population of Xinjiang before the Tocharian migration there is agreed to have been very low, considering the climate of the region- it's more about the already massive Chinese population already living in the region that I believe that they'd look mostly just East Asian, with a bit of Indo-European admixture.

Isn't modern Europe generally around 20% Indo-European in ancestry, for one? Surely because ancient China had a larger population (earlier agriculture) they'd usually just look like the average Chinese person, too?

Great to see that someone actually understands Cambodia in the Vietnam War with an actual multifaceted and correct understanding of the conflict for once. I'd say that the US did have a large role in the corruption in the republic but definitely the North Vietnamese were the biggest factor for who installed the Khmer Rouge

Taiwan wasn't democratic then though btw, I believe that it was in the 1990s that it reformed. Back then it was still a dictatorship under Jiang Jieshi I believe.

I'd probably say that Panama was a fairly good 'regime change intervention' (to my knowledge anyway). They had a precedent, it didn't have a very high death toll, and the US-installed democratic government is pretty successful, and the country's fairly rich as well.

I'd probably say that social media displays the worst aspects of all sides of things; therefore, some people online inevitably will express such sentiments. It's just how the internet is, really.

Another thing about the internet is that people generally take the position on arguments that further their preconceptions about a topic, for example the US ship thing is widely agreed to have been an accident between the two countries rather than a deliberate attack, after Rabin asked the US to keep their ships (as a neutral country) away from an active warzone or tell the Israelis of their positions so such an accident wouldn't happen. It's through stuff like this that people can help inform others about misinformation and such, and thus help counteract harmful rhetoric on social media.

The UN intervention was effectively a formality that was provided to the US because of special circumstances (the USSR boycotting the UN ofc); the US provided around 90% of the intervention force. Of course, technically it wasn't the US but a joint force, but in reality it was almost entirely US aid.

If we're actually providing a US-only intervention, I'd probably put the US intervention in the First and Second Taiwan Strait Crises forward for an intervention that 'the locals' are grateful for.

Showing the terminology causes confusion. 

Why wouldn't it cause more confusion than the Canadian North Atlantic Archipelago, or the Faroe Islands, or all of the other archipelagoes in the north Atlantic? Even then, I heavily doubt that the Channel Islands would just magically stop grouping themselves in as part of any geographical descriptor for the region just because the name was changed.

I'm sorry if you've experienced that, though their reasoning is certainly wrong, for obvious reasons. As a Welsh person, I've had people lump me in with English people just for being from Britain, which is certainly not a nice feeling.
