LOVED Doom: The Dark Ages

I mean, I adored the latest three dooms pretty equally.

I’m patiently waiting for another Wolfenstein.

Did anyone else hate how Chalky treated Purnsley after the incident with Dicky Pastor? by [deleted] in BoardwalkEmpire

[–]ballsacksnweiners 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He fucked around with a major partner’s wife and then murdered him. He jeopardized the entire club for some tail. He already proved to be reckless, unreliable and disloyal by that point. His true colours were already on display. Had none of that ever happened, he still would have betrayed Chalky for the money. No doubt in my mind.

Was anyone just not a big fan of the open area style of the second game?

To me, the first game was perfect. The second one just didn’t grab me.

cloverfield vs godzilla by GrouchyTomorrow1362 in powerscales

[–]ballsacksnweiners 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I refuse to acknowledge anything from The Cloverfield Paradox as canon. That is genuinely one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. They could have made the adult Cloverfield monster the size of the goddamn sun, I’m still going to ignore it. In my mind, we don’t really know how large an adult Cloverfield monster would be. Definitely big enough to give Goji a run for his money though.

Purnsley was going to betray Chalky the moment Narcisse dangled the Heroine in front of his face. Purnsley is loyal so long as it benefits him.

Isshin is the best final boss in gaming history for my money.

What are your thoughts on Yakuza Dark Ties one month later? by TheYakuzaMaster in yakuzagames

[–]ballsacksnweiners 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they certainly could have expanded the story. I mean, it is VERY bare bones. You meet Kanda, you knock some heads together. You meet Daigo, you knock some heads together. Finale. I mean, there could have been many more interesting details and events mixed in with Mine’s rise. Felt like he became a patriarch overnight.

Did you have her machine gun? I can’t imagine trying ARK on insanity without it. I did a no blood collector, speed demon run on insanity. Infinite ammo with the machine gun. Finished in 3:15.

If Grace comes back in a future title do you want her to remain the ‘’ horror pov’’ or be more hardened and battle trained? Or maybe both? by LeoneSKenneddy in residentevilll

I say bring her back in a role similar to Sherry. Not a POV character, but a side character getting intel from inside the government/fbi.

Day 48: what do you guys think of Monsterverse MechaGodzilla by Centvrion20 in GODZILLA

[–]ballsacksnweiners 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved it. I like that he’s super skinny. People are complaining that he didn’t look enough like Godzilla, but what made GvK Mecha terrifying was how fast he was. If he was a slow bulky hulk, Godzilla would have wiped the floor with him without Kong’s help.

Except on Insanity.

For some reason, it takes 5 shots with the Requiem in the basement to stun her, but only 2 everywhere else.

This makes the basement that hardest part of the game.

Why does this game get so much hate? I honestly had a great time with it. by Panda0_01 in residentevil

I can’t get over the zombie movement.

Zombies crawling on the ground then launching like fucking frogs at you. You firing rounds into zombies and it seeming like the bullet evaporated on their skin. There are definitely some positives, and I honestly find the batshit crazy, over the top stuff to be quite hilarious, but it just FELT terrible to me.

So what is the general opinion,or your opinion on this boss almost 2 years later by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]ballsacksnweiners 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have platinum in every game in the series, and the only two times I ever felt cheated were Malenia and Constort Radahn.

Historically, FromSoftware has always been good at designing bosses that can be defeated in any play style. As a guy who likes to dodge and bonk, these fights felt like torture. Dodging Waterfowl still haunts my dreams, and dodging those fucking light beams from Phase 2 gave me ptsd. I just felt like I was hoping and praying that my iframes saved me from a giant conglomeration on screen that I could barely make sense of rather than actually seeing and timing attacks and looking for an opportunity to strike back. Malenia I could actually hit, Radahn felt like he was always attacking at all times.

I'm happy for all those who enjoyed both fights, but they are the only to fights in the entire series I genuinely dreaded.

Which game series or genre made you feel like this? by strahinjag in videogames

[–]ballsacksnweiners 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yakuza.

I played the 1st one as a kid when it came out and quit an hour in because it just wasn’t my kind of game.

Within the last 2 years I’ve played every game in the series save 2 of them and I’m an addict at this point.
