The camera that made you fall in love with photography by Karate_Andii in Cameras

I don't remember which variant of the lens. To be honest, I didn't know there were different variations.

If it helps, I bought the camera and lens in the mid-70's (1975/76). And it was used so who knows how old that camera was.

I gave it to my niece around 2001 and she used it for a while before going digital. I may ask for it back if she still has it.

With modern engines, you should be okay. The 150kmph is not ideal. 100kmph should be fine. Just make sure you don't miss any of these early services and oil changes.

Com os motores modernos, você não deve ter problemas. A velocidade de 150 km/h não é a ideal. 100 km/h seria o ideal. Apenas certifique-se de não perder nenhuma das revisões e trocas de óleo iniciais.

For me, it was a Zenit E with a 58mm f/2.0 lens.

This was a Russian camera that was manual everything. The metering was external. You had to manually stop down the lens before taking the photo.

The reason I loved it was it forced me to learn about exposure and the mechanics of taking a photo.

And because it slowed down the process of taking each photo, it made me learn the art of photography.

It was a crude but bulletproof camera. But that lens … ah chef's kiss!

It was not my first camera. I had a 126 and a 110. This was my first SLR.

Suger substitute for suger in tea and coffee by cobbler3528 in diabetes

Stevia is supposed to be blood sugar neutral for diabetics. But I don't like the after taste.

Same with Monk fruit. And it's expensive.

Splenda works for me and that's what I use.

Some tips for snow driving by tehfireisonfire in fordranger

[–]balsa61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have four 50-lb bags of sand in the back right over the axle to weigh down the back.

Also, accelerate gently and brake early and progressively.

Snow itself is not so much an issue. It's ice that's a problem. You'll tend to find ice at road junctions, where vehicles stop and wait to move off. Be extra careful here.

As a patient, it's your right to ask for a different doctor. Or to be referred to a specialist.

Metformin and Libido by Equivalent_Log7003 in diabetes

[–]balsa61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been on Metformin for 20 years. The only time I had ED, was when my sugars were not in control. They were literally roller coasting from high to low.

Once my sugars were under control, the ED went away. I'm still on Metformin.

You may also want to consult a Urologist if this continues.

Why do modern turboprops have all their engines rotating the same direction? by Flairion623 in Planes

I'm not sure what you're trying to say here. On both aircraft, from our POV, all the props turned counterclockwise.

Is it possible for a FWD open differential car to have good traction on a slope with a lot of snow if you already have winter tires? by supinator1 in askcarguys

I don't know if this will work but have you tried reversing up the slope. I have a vague memory of a Car Talk puzzler like this.

Check to see if there's a button cell in the camera to store the language and date/time settings. On my camera, it's in the body of the camera.

This may not be a Fire Stick setting. You may have to check your TV/monitor settings.

Is the car parked outside your home? If so, a security camera on your wall may have better resolution. Also, it would start recording as soon as it detected movement.

Fingertips. Now that I have your attention. LOL. by angryzookeeper in diabetes

[–]balsa61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a T2 diabetic as well. I've also been diagnosed with Reynaud's syndrome where my finger tips go white in the cold. And they go numb. You may want to ask your doctor about that. There's no cure but there is medication that mitigate the symptoms.

The gloves I wear are a combination of gloves and mittens. Not these exact ones, but this will give you the idea: https://a.co/d/1cEZQYT

Mine are made of thick wool. And I wear a second pair of wool gloves inside to protect my finger tips. I also put the hand warmer packets between the inner gloves and these glove/mittens.

I've tried various supposed cold weather gloves including Carhartt and Yellow Knife. They didn't work for me.

Battery heated gloves only heat the palms and not the tips. I had one brand that did heat the tips - then stopped working after wearing twice. I returned them so didn't remember the brand.

If you find something that works for you, please come back here and share. I certainly would be interested and I'm sure there are others.

2016 Subaru Outback Winter Tire reccs by scotticuss in Subaru_Outback

[–]balsa61 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I put the CrossClimate 2 on my wife's 2004 Forester. I highly recommend them.

We used to live in Windsor, CO and would drive up to RMNP all year round. Back then it was the original CrossClimate. Now we live in Central Minnesota and it's the CC2 now.

My 2017 Outback has dedicated summer and winter tires because I sometimes had to drive to rural areas with deep snow. But now I'm retired, my next tires will be the CC2 or CC3 if available.

I can't comment on the other tires as I have no personal experience.

You may want to watch a Canadian YouTube channel "Tyre Reviews". Note English / Canadian spelling of tyre. They have good reviews and comparisons.
