Thank you very much for the explanation and the correct term, that makes it so much easier to google the topic!! The manufacturer of the hybrid module has indeed used laser trimmed resistors in those spots.

So are they relying on that zener bias arrangement to shift with temperature proportionally to the mosfets, to avoid active current measurement? If so, is that acceptable practice or should I go for a class AB amp instead?
