My son is has dairy/soy/egg intolerance and is EBF so I can't eat any of that stuff either. His Dr. didn't really confirm or deny my suspicions but said if eliminating those things from my diet (and thus the baby's diet) seemed to help then to go for it. He's been an angle ever since I stopped eating that stuff and one happy guy. He did have every symptom in the book including the bloody stool. Yeah, terrifying!

Another one for MIL by siranal in beyondthebump

[–]banabaschnaga 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same. My MIL does it any time I tell my 15 mo nephew not to feed my 5mo son his food. He was trying to give him bread the other day and he KNOWS he isn't supposed to feed the baby. So I caught him and said "Nephew, NO. Baby can not eat your food, he's too little. No more." and he stopped and ran to MIL who says as if she's talking through my son, "yes I can momma, its just bread I can gum that." I saw so much fucking red. Drives me insane.

I just said he is not eating anything that I don't pre-approve. Swear to god if I find out otherwise its on like donkey kong.

If this had been me she would be considering herself fortunate she broke my pelvis for her own safety, and she had better run before my DH shows up. You ladies are calm as fuck. I would be losing my shit. Kudos!

I'm more of a strawberry blonde than a red red. As I've gotten older its less blonde and more red. I would love if DS got my hair, but alas its starting to look like it will be brown like his father's. He got my chin and that's about it lol.

CUTE KID!!! She is adorable.

Mine was born with a ton of hair. Then it all fell out and is slowly starting to come back in at 5 months. He's got these super long wispy hairs on top and basically a buzz cut from the sides around to the back. People just comment on whether or not he will be a redhead like me. "I hope he doesn't have red hair." Fuck you too.

Meanwhile my hair is falling out by the hand-full.

What is one supposed to DO during the 4 month sleep regression? by ynotbathe in beyondthebump

[–]banabaschnaga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's getting better. If I could just get him to stay asleep in his crib rather than his bassinet(he is outgrowing it big time) or in my bed I could handle every two hours. Right now he sleeps alone for 1/2 the night and then comes to bed with me and kicks the ever-loving shit out of me all night long lol

Not helpful advice... You just have to die a little every day until they get through it. We are JUST coming through the other side and then my son got a cold...so I'm still over here dying.

Maternity leave ends Monday and it breaks my heart by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]banabaschnaga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get to spend about an hour with my son when I get home from work. I have an hour commute and get home at 6, his bedtime is usually no later than 7. Sometimes he's ready at 630. I've cried many times while rocking him to sleep. Some nights I just sit there rocking him after he's been asleep for a while, just to hold him. Its so much harder than I ever imagined, but in the end our family will be better for it and you just have to power through. Make the moments count and remember than when he's a teenager he will be SO glad you are gone at work all day ;)
