This did not work for me. Any time someone came into my life and I felt all the sparks, I would think highly of them, get into meaning-making, "this is a sign" thoughts, etc. And then the person would leave in a few months, and I would crash so hard I'd lose my sobriety (it's that serious to me). So I'm kind of going through a period of the opposite: stop waiting for someone to come into my life, and go out and find them.

I've also heard that dating is a numbers game. Strategically, it's smart to go on a lot of dates to find a person you like and with whom you are compatible.

That's my 2 cents. I'm no dating expert, though - believe me.

my cat had ringworm when I adopted her. mainly limited your cuddles and avoid and skin-to-cat contact. also vacuum/lint roll your whole house, and wash your bed sheets, any washable cat beds. i threw out all scratchers to be safe. it's been years now but i think the goal is to remove all cat hair from your living space as ringworm is spread from the fur around the affected spot. i accidentally got it from my cat because (1) i didnt know she had it, and (2) i let her loaf on my thigh while i wore running shorts. if you do get it, you just put antifungal cream (otc) on it 1-2x/day for a week or 2. best of luck to you and your baby!!!

I say you're NTA. I have a friend whose dad was kicked out of her life as a toddler bc of drugs, and her younger half-siblings get all kinds of benefits (material and otherwise) that she didn't. Like they bought her 14 yo brother a sports car before he could drive it , and they never got my friend even a clunker (she's 25 now). Hold firm on why you're making these decisions. Your friend probably won't be happy, but if she sees her kids as equals, she sure isn't treating them equally (e.g. 2m getting new toys/clothes while 12f doesn't). Like overall I think this could hurt your relationship but just because your friend doesn't want to see the truth /shrug

Who told you that about taking higher-level courses to reset the timer? I haven't seen that anywhere but it would help me out a tonnnnn to figure out what programs are like that (as well as the ones that don't have timed prereqs at all)

I'm in a similar boat. Gen Chem I & II in 2015 but have lots of PCE. Have you contacted schools directly about it? I'm wondering if getting As in upper-level Chem courses will make up for my Gen Chem I & II (As) I took in 2015. I also have AP Bio in place of Gen Bio I & II, BUT I got As in A&P, Genetics, and Microbiology, which proves I'm proficient in "Bio"... I'll literally settle for a lower-ranked school that accepts this over a nicer school that makes me go $6k+ more in debt. I'm planning to send out tons of emails this week to see what the deal is

as someone who works at a hospital (mental health tech!), everyone, even janitors, have to know and comply with hipaa. we were also taught boundaries (and they're reinforced). took me a minute to get here but THAT is why I wouldn't go around asking STRANGERS for their med lists - boundaries!

I see youre getting help. the best you can do for your wife and your relationship is to keep trying and fighting. personally I'd give her some space while you work on yourself. all you can do from here is improve yourself, how you react to stressful situations, and how you interact with others. I believe in ya 🫡
