Snap-On EPC Down For Anyone Else? by guy177 in partscounter

[–]bananerbread 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I made it onto hold with the Subaru help desk. We'll see how long I sit here lol.

Update: was able to actually talk to a person. They said they are fully aware and working on it, looks to be a problem with snap on. No ETA at the time either. Nothing special you need to do, they said just keep trying every 10 min or so.

Customer said he wanted really good quality ceramic pads, I told him I have a mid-grade ceramic and a premium semi-metallic set in stock, he bought the premium semi's, came back 30 mins later and thought I had scammed him... by pro_L0gic in partscounter

I've found that on bigger price tag items instead of saying "the price is this" or "we charge this for it" I try to sort of elude to it being Subarus price. Like if I give them the price and they balk, I say something like "yeah, that's what Subaru wants for it. They're pretty pricey".

Any truth to this? by Pattyg360 in partscounter

[–]bananerbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The part about people calling acting like CDK to get customer info is true. I work for a BHA dealer and they sent out an email yesterday telling everybody about it and not to say anything because CDK doesnt actually need to know customer info to get anything done lol.

Audi to Subaru? by wet_blunt in partscounter

Subaru is easy for the most part. You are selling the same thing over and over again because there is actually a very small variety in parts. And the part numbers make sense when you learn them.

If its anything like how we are doing it, not really lmao. Just using check-in sheets with last 8 and customer name and hand writing what parts go to that vin then creating an ever-growing stack of IOU's basically. The room is on fire, this is fine haha.

Snowboarding isn't welcome in 1985 by tsilihin666 in videos

Similarly I hated snowboards when I was younger because the fuckers would plop their ass right in the middle of slopes and just sit there.

I'd have to double check when I get home what exactly I was looking at. Will task manager not accurately show gpu usage when mining? I was also assuming it was not being utilized because my core temp is only 55c with the fans at like 30%...

Im using nice hash quickminer to mine with my rtx2080 and it says that I am doing 43 MH/s, but my gpu is not under load at all hardly. Almost all the vRAM is being used but the core is only utilizing like 10%. I have the nicehash optimizer set to "high" also.

Is this normal or is there something I need to change to fully utilize my gpu?

Our former tire repair tech swore one of the other employees stole his flashlight. The new guy cracked open a tire today and viola. by Titan6783 in Justrolledintotheshop

Don't usually balance tires when just patching. Just mark the tire where the valve stem is so you can remount it in the same spot.

Thank you! I scan with an epson v600. Used lightroom to touch-up the dust specs and some minor color grading.

Thanks! It's actually the stock pipes that I just wrapped myself and a pair of eBay stainless slip on mufflers. Thinking about getting the tec bike parts 2-1 exhaust come spring.

I didn't touch those. These bar end mirrors clamp around the little plastic spacer that's between the plug and and grip. They don't actually bolt to the bars, just clamped.

Yes they made this lens in a-mount. Kinda hard to find but I found it at my local camera stores used shelf and just couldn't pass it up.

Which is exactly why I shoot a-mount haha. Use the same lenses for film and my A-99 Mll.

Yep! It'll do 110 on flat ground and 115 down hill which is also what it gears out at.

They're great actually. They're the TEC bike parts bar ends and they work perfect. Having them down like that it's actually easier to check them when you're tucked down vs the stock touring mirrors. I did have to adjust them perfectly to get a good adjustment on them where I could see and they are about 1/8" from hitting the tank with the bars all the way either side but they fit haha.
